The maids entered the room and discovered Naria and Raiver lying on the bed, both visibly tired and exhausted, gazing at each other.
Before the maid could utter a greeting, Raiver sternly ordered her to be quiet, knowing that it was likely the same maids who had mistreated his wife in the past.
"Leave. Get out of here!" he shouted, with a voice that was filled with authority and anger.
Naria, puzzled by his sudden hostility towards the maids, questioned, "Why did you tell them to leave? Aren't they here to help you?"
Raiver's eyes softened as he explained, "They mistreated you. I won't allow a single maid to touch you or harm you in any way. I'll find new ones who will treat you with the respect you deserve."
A warm smile illuminated Naria's face, realizing that she was finally entering a place where she would feel safe. "Thank you," she paused, filled with a gratitude, "husband," she added, softly playing with her fingers.
