After I diverted the dragon's attack, my poncho and arms were half burnt, but I could still move them around without feeling much pain, so I took out a healing potion to treat them.
The Lava Dragon stood still, looking somewhat surprised at the fact that I diverted his lava instead of fully protecting against it.
When the dragon returned to his senses, I saw him posing a slight smile on his face that he quickly covered with his hand.
"It's been a long time since someone deflected my attack…" he commented, not making eye contact with me.
"So, is that a yes?" I asked.
Before answering, the dragon approached my group and me and stood a few feet away from us while holding his egg in his hands.
"As I said, my priority lies in the protection of this egg. If I help you, will you promise to protect it with your life?" the dragon asked back.
"I promise. The devils won't lay a finger on this egg," I confidently replied.
