After our group introduced themselves to Dulmar, the dwarf who would be our guide during our visit, he started to walk ahead of us and told us more details about the inner workings of Durinhold.
The dwarven nation was wholly surrounded by the white marble peak mountains, called the White Ring, which is what protected it from outsiders.
Most towns were built inside the mountain. Even though we were above water level, it still felt like we were several feet underground.
At one point, we reached a crossroad in the tunnel and noticed a sign with arrows pointing in different directions with the names of the closest settlements.
"We have to pass Whiteforge, and then we can keep walking towards Rockvalley…" said Dulmar as he kept guiding us.
Whiteforge was the name of one of the towns built inside the mountain, where most of the white marble that was gathered was received and processed.
