Katherine watched from the window as she saw the car drove away but not after the man almost rode on the thugs who jumped away. her heart was still beating irregular and her mind in chaos that she forgot to tell the man driving where she was heading to.
momentarily she felt the car stop, that was when her eyes for the first time shifted from the window to look at the man driving her. The man was looking straight away, his nose sharp, cheeks strong and jawline very defined. she didn't know what she was doing taking note of the man's feature or if it was part of her mind not being in a good state. when the man faced her, she saw a glint of annoyance in his silver eyes that were narrowed at her.
"Am I supposed to know you ?" Asked the man, his voiced raised but deep. Katherine also noted his thin very pink lips. the stranger who was riding her in his car was a really devilishly handsome man.
"Huh" Katherine asked caught off-guard by his voice which resonated in her ear. "it's clear you are too of low caliber to be known by me" she heard him say, his eyes running through her dress.
"am really grateful for the ride sir" Katherine tiny voice said. At least she is now a great distance with the thugs." how many times have I heard those exact same words" He rolled his eyes. "what do I come to benefit for what I did hmm" He said and Katherine's heart began to beat. His phone rang and he picked it up, exchanging some words with the caller.
" since you don't have a destination can you kindly close the door behind you, I have got an appointment " Katherine heard the man. she was supposed to thank the man for saving her life today but he was not giving her a single chance.
"sir" Katherine said to bring back the man attention who was about to start the car as if can't wait for her to get out of the car." I am very gra-"Katherine tried to speak only to be cut short.
" Take this and get out" The man said his voice raised as he threw some cash to her thigh. Katherine's eyes widened.
