Chapter 9 - Predator and Prey

Predator and Preys

One of the guards, his face twisted in despair, lit a torch, hoping that it would provide some measure of protection. But as he held it aloft, the flame flickered and died, as if snuffed out by a powerful gust of wind.

The guards were now completely vulnerable, and they knew that their only hope was to run. But as they turned to flee, they found themselves facing a figure in the shadows, a figure whose eyes burned with a fierce intensity.

It was a pure massacre, with no mercy shown to those who had once tortured him and the prisoners in their care. As Raden moved through the prison, he left a trail of blood and destruction in his wake, his Sword flashing in the dim light.

There was no place for the guards to run, no hope of escape. All the exits were closed, and the only sound that echoed through the prison was the sound of steel on steel, as Raden cut down anyone who dared to stand in his way.

In no time all the Guards were Down to death. The floor and the walls were painted with blood and Dead bodies were littered everywhere. As the moonlight is spilled in the alleyway there was only blood.

Raden whispers "Flames of Hephaestus, Burst with your Wrath" The passage hall was burning. Raden had gotten Rid of his darkest memory. But a Lighting bold out of the blue Struck Raden and he was blown away Breaking both the wall covering the prison. It was Ulysses, Guarding the Prison wall.

Raden falls deep in the River covering the wall. That didn't leave a single scratch on his body though. Ulysses speaks in a mighty voice "YOU VERMIN, YOU DARE CHALLENGE THE GREAT BRITTANIA? Your Breath shall be extinguished by me!"

Raden Replies "HA! You? The one hiding above the wall dares to Speak all high and mighty as you saw your minions dying a Disgusting death?" in a mocking manner

Ulysses and Raden duel. Ulysses avoided close contact as he was aware of Radens Sword. To his surprise, Ulysses had seen the Sword before somewhere as well but he didn't think about it as he believed it was just a cheap copy of what he had seen. The smoke coming out of the prison drew the attention of all the people in the city. The wall was taken down by the prisoners using a log and they ran for freedom.

"Dragon Breath!" shouts Ulysses and releases several fire blasts toward Raden. Raden Easily dodges it. Just as Ulysses corners Raden through continuous Flame magic. A strike of Blade arose from behind.

As Moon spilled its moonlight toward the unknown figure at the top of the Burning prison. Ulysses sees a Man with silver hair a katana and a fierce stare that was looking right at him. He was a SAMURAI

The moonlight spilled across the burning prison, casting an eerie glow across the charred ruins. And as Ulysses looked up, he saw a figure standing at the top of the structure, silhouetted against the flames.

The figure was a man, with silver hair that shimmered in the moonlight. He held a katana in his hand, and his eyes were fierce, staring down at Ulysses with a cold intensity.

As the samurai descended on the tower, his aura was palpable, and Raden felt a powerful sense of awe wash over him. He had never seen anyone wielding a katana with such precision and deadly intent.

In a single swift blow, the samurai struck down Ulysses, leaving him lying motionless on the ground. And then, with a sudden turn of his head, the samurai's gaze fell upon Raden.

Raden mustered up the courage to ask the samurai his name. The samurai whispered back, "I am Ryoma Shingen."

Curiosity piqued; Raden asked him why he was selectively cutting down prisoners. Ryoma replied, "I am waiting for my death. I am only cutting down the ones who deserve to be in prison. I am leaving the ones who have been falsely kept here while cutting down the ones who are serious criminals. I'm waiting for my death as well. My shogun suffered from a terrible fate. I shall rot here for the rest of my life"

Raden Laughed

Ryoma was Infuriated seeing Raden laugh at his ambitions and Ideology. The Points his Katana toward his head and gazes at him coldly. Raden says "Say, Join me in my journey.". Ryoma Replies "I have no intention of helping you obtain your whatsoever Goal"

"Hmm what should I do to get you along with me," Asks Raden in an enthusiastic voice

"I'm not going!" shouts Ryoma.

"I see. Then I shall take you with force" says Raden.

It was a risky move, but Raden had managed to knock out Ryoma and carry him on his shoulder. As they looked out over the city, Raden saw that all the prisoners had been freed, and he felt a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Ryoma, however, was not pleased about being carried like a sack of potatoes. He shouted at Raden to put him down, but Raden simply threatened to cut off his long white hair. Ryoma fell silent, and Raden began to speak wisely.

"I have sacrificed everything to gain power," Raden said. "But I need a companion like you to help me stay on the right path. Will you offer me your loyalty?"

Ryoma looked out over the city and saw the families of the prisoners, wishing for a prosperous life for Raden. He thought of his former shogun, who had been just as kind as Raden. Finally, he turned to Raden and said, "Let us go."

Raden dropped him to the ground, and Ryoma smiled. Together, they would embark on a journey that would change their lives forever.

News of the prison break in Traist spread like wildfire, igniting fear and uncertainty among the populace. The military, keenly aware of the potential implications of such an event, quickly moved to cover it up, claiming it was nothing more than an unfortunate accident.

The prisoners who had witnessed the break were strictly warned not to speak of it to anyone, in pain of severe punishment. Even among themselves, they were cautioned to remain silent, lest their words be overheard by those who might use them to sow discord and fear.

Despite the military's efforts to suppress the truth, a nagging sense of unease lingered among their ranks. They knew that the implications of a successful prison break could be disastrous, not just for their operations, but for the stability and security of the entire region.

In a corner of their hearts, the military leaders felt a creeping fear, an awareness that their grip on power and control might be slipping. They knew that they would have to act quickly and decisively to restore order and quell any potential unrest, lest the flames of rebellion be fanned into a raging inferno.
