Dread.
Fear.
The feeling of being the hunted.
The prey.
They say you have a shiver down your spine when you feel all this emotions running amok in you. This was the second time he had ever felt that shiver down his spine and the first... it didn't end well.
The rider walked slowly towards Bolu, his sword trailing wildly behind him, causing sparks as it was dragged along the study mismatched stones beneath the wide spread grasses.
"You know its quite funny what they call us here." The rider said with a mocking glint in his eyes. "Ugh, what is it again... Oh yes, yes I remember, I think its was called Kaiju for beings like my pet and for beings like me they call Kaijin."
The Kaijin walked until he stopped only a foot distance from Bolu, over towering him by almost four inches.
"Don't you think its funny too?" The Kaijin said in a voice that betrayed an obvious grin that couldn't be seen through his masked face. They both stared at themselves, gaze glued to each other yet both on alert for any sudden movement.
"You are a very strong human." The Kaijin began. "So do your best to entertain me before you die."
"Tch!" Bolu sneered. His hand gripped tightly unto his sword handle, he was quite surprised it hadn't broken under his tight grip.
After what felt like seconds, they finally moved. They both adjusted their stances, both swung their swords at each other at a dangerous close range, and when both swords collided, Bolu's sword gave way by shattering into pieces under the extreme pressure of the Kaijin's own.
The collision turned into a tiny explosion that blew Bolu feet's away from where he once stood. Bolus looked down at the remains of his sword that was in his had , which was basically his sword handle.
In a fight like this, were this situation happened. The match was pretty much decided on who had lost and won.
Bolu knew that of course.
He had know that way before he had fought against this Kaijin.
He knew it when he saw it for the first time, but... that didn't change the fact that he was going to lose his life in this fight and honestly, he was not one to go down that path alone.
When he dies he's gonna have to take this bastard with him.
"What are you going to do now that you don't have a sword." The Kaiju said as he edged closer to Bolu. "Didn't I tell you to keep me entertained."
Gritting his teeth Bolu steadied himself and gripped the handle of his broken blade with anger.
Raw anger that burnt his inside, anger that seemed to turn into rage that unconsciously transfered itself from his entire body to his grip.
He looked down at his hand and felt that it was indeed hot, boiling hot, and it was also on his broken sword but it wasn't melting instead it was vibrating like a powerful machine that got out of control and it was getting hard to hold on to it.
Then like as though the sword in his grip had suddenly become magnetic, all the shards from the broken sword seemed to float in the air and unto the handle and like watching a tree grow in fast forward the shards joined together in such a way that there was barely a scratch on the newly reformed sword.
They were both stunned at what had just happened and they also watched as he tossed the sword in his hand lightly as if to check that it was real and not a form of illusion.
Snapping back to reality, he instantly had an idea.
With a one handed movement that suddenly disrupted the Kaijin's reality, Bolu drew a great anticlockwise arch with his sword and as he had expected, he saw that the Kaijin had also drawn an arch to parry his.
Bolu frowned in anticipation and the next thing that happened brought a devils gin on his face.
His sword had phased through the Kaijin's upon collision so that there was no collision at all.
This little phase caused the Kaijin to lose balance a bit also causing it to mis strike hard at the ground, which immediately caused an opening... an opening that Bolu would kill himself if he missed.
Smoothly turning the force of his previous swing to another attack without breaking, Bolu struck his gleaming sword at the Kaijin's unguarded upper left shoulder with all the strength he could muster, a strike which he believed was impossible for the Kaijin to escape at such dangerous distance but was proved wrong almost immediately as in a flash the Kaijin immediately retreated few feet away from Bolu.
Unable to process what had happened and burning with a crazy will for his attack to reach the Kaijin now even though he knew it was impossible, he let his blade swing free and just before the blade touched the ground it shattered and created a large terrifying explosion that went in a straight line and engulfed the Kaijin like an ant that was engulfed in the flames of a flamethrower.
"Holy shit!" Yelled Bolu in great surprise.
