Adrian tightened his hold around Stella waist. He was convinced that Stella had feelings for him by the look in her eye. But he could also tell she was holding back from expressing herself to him.
"Stella, I'd love to ask you a sensitive question and I need you to be honest with me." Adrian pulled Stella away from his shoulder. He was desperate to look into her eyes.
"I need to know if you're in love with Alex or someone else."
"W-what! W-why would you say that?" Stella struggled to keep her gaze on Adrian.
Adrian suddenly feels stupid for asking that question. Hence, he decided to explain himself while apologizing indirectly.
