Chereads / Rise Of GOD : Shani / Chapter 9 - CH-8 Brother Vignesh

Chapter 9 - CH-8 Brother Vignesh

Shani closed the door of his room and sat down on the study table placing the letter on the desk. Opening the second drawer from the 3rd on the right, he rummaged through many stationary items until he felt a blade's sharpness.

Taking it from the drawer, he gave it one look, checking whether the blade was sharp enough to cut. To test it, he scratched it against the table making a 'skreee' sound. Satisfied, with the sharpness, he picked up the envelope cutting the top and held it in his hand. Remembering something, Shani took out his reading glasses from the third drawer, placing them between his ears and nose.

Finally, ready to read his brother's parting message, Shani took out the letter.

"......"

Shani read the first line but didn't understand any of it. "What da !!!". The letter was written in a language he didn't know. How was he supposed to understand the words? But surprisingly gradually the words become easier to understand the words.

Checking into his 'Retina Database', it was the language he had created with brother Vignesh when they were young.

Relieved, finally, he could read the letter.

"If you are reading this letter, then it's been a year since my death. All of you must have grieved for the whole year. I am sorry to make you go through such pain. Curse me, hate me forget about me, I won't mind. It's what I deserve to leave the world without a warning.

I specifically planned to give the letter to you because Dad would go crazy after reading it. He might overturn the whole police department in his rage. But, that shouldn't happen. Even if I am dead, I want all of you to live your life in happiness. A selfish request but truly want it. Chitki deserves a life full of happiness, wouldn't you agree Shani? For this reason, they should never know about this letter. Better burn it in a fire after you are done reading. I don't want anyone to ever read other than you.

I am wrong to give you all of this information. It will get you in a lot of trouble but you are my only hope, the one who I can trust completely. Others are just backstabbers and selfish bastards.

The most powerful and important treasure of the Buddhists is hidden in Ajanata and Ellora Caves. If it were to fall into the wrong hands our world is doomed. The treasure has been mentioned many times in history with different names but its purpose has always been the same. 'The Dharma Sword' can cut through the fabric of reality and reveal the truth. The treasure will be accompanied by massive riches you cannot begin to even imagine.

Leave the money for WestAsia, it would be better to give it to them but don't let anyone know about the sword. It must always be a secret in your hands. If someone sees it then kill them. Let there be no eyewitnesses.

These are the bank details of the account I am supposed to receive money from the dealer. It's not the first time I am working for them so there are details of their previous transaction. If interested ask Mr Black to track them down. He is one of the few people I can trust with my life and the same goes for you. The guy charges an exuberant fee but gets the hard jobs done.

This achievement is sure to make your name famous globally so make sure to do it. If I can't then it must be you. I won't have my rivals taking the glory for all the hard work I put in.

Tell Amma and Nana, I have and will always love them. That could never change. Shani and Chitki will always be the most precious treasures I cherish.

Goodbye, younger brother and Thank you for supporting me when times were rough. Perhaps, we may meet again in another form. Best of luck for the future, my jewel"

Shani couldn't stop his tears as they flowed wetting his face and shirt. At the moment, he wanted to shout at the unfairness of the world. For taking away his brother, he hated it from the bottom of his heart. His brother wasn't supposed to die. From the letter, it seemed he knew the location of some treasure. The last step, to take the treasure only remained. But he was killed before he could do that.

After getting the sorrow out, Shani sat dejectedly on the chair. His brother's words, 'Find the Dharma Sword and don't let it fall in the wrong hands.' Kept repeating in his mind.

"Brother Vignesh was afraid of this possibility. It must be why he risked his life. It was so risky he thought of giving information to me. Brothers had excavated many caves before but it was the first time he thought of leaving a letter in the case of his death. Just what situation was he going through, it's hard to imagine." Shani came to a conclusion that made his eyes fill with a vengeance, "Brothers killer must still be searching for a way to get the treasure. If I pursue this treasure then it's a way to find out the killers."

Ajanta and Ellora's caves, it was where his brother wanted him to go and the place he would find out more about his killers. It was going to be the place where the truth would be revealed to Shani.

Shani got up flipped the switch on of a projector and dragged his chair to the other side of the room where a massive screen was placed. He changed the setting of his Retina Lense to 'Connect with Big Screen'. Immediately his eyes relaxed as he focused on the screen. Using the Illusionary Keyboard, he typed ' Ajanta and Ellora Caves'.

The Ajanta and Ellora Caves were important places for finding the truth. He must have all the knowledge related to the place before going there.

The research would take weeks to complete so he couldn't just go running there now. Although, he felt an intense desire to do just that. He was impatient, angry and hungry to find his brother's killers. He wanted to find the truth as soon as possible.

Shani logged into his account, he began fiddling with the apps. Literally, he threw and pulled the apps in and out of his main screen. It made working very convenient. 30 years back the holograms were the most basic kind but now they were completely different. The evolution in the technology of holograms was something to marvel at.

Looking at the calendar, 2 weeks later would be the beginning of Summer Vacation as the heat in April reached its peak. The vacation would be for 2 months. Perfect, just perfect. He wouldn't be distracted by school and it would be easy to make an excuse to go to Ajanta and Ellora Caves. In the meantime, he must get prepared for the trip. All of the preparation must be completed in these 2 weeks. Everything he would need must be accounted for.

He called the browser 'Chrome' and it moved to the main screen. The search result for the distance from Mumba to Ajanta Ellora Caves was around 4 hours if travelling by car or bike. The trains could get him in 3 and the aeroplane in 1. But, he decided to travel by bike because it would help him escape. Not having an escape vehicle in an unpredictable situation would be suicidal. The bike had had to change, dad's old buddy was not going to work.

Items he would be needing for the trip and extraction had to be collected one by one in these two weeks, most of them would be ordered online through the black market, which sold the best quality goods at cheap prices. Others would have to be bought in person but not a problem. He had a lot of connections who would help him get those items.

But some could only be obtained in person like the contents of Brother Vignesh's Locker and the investigation of the transactions in the bank account.

Shani tried opening Vignesh's bank account but its status showed inactive. That was very intriguing, given my brother's line of work his bank was used every day but just after not using it for a year it had become inactive. . He had to carefully plan his visit to the bank otherwise he might fall into the enemy's hands.

He suddenly started feeling the enemy had eyes on all of the keys his brother used to visit. Every step he took had to be carefully calculated or he would never know the truth. That was something he would never let happen.

No matter how harsh and difficult it was, he would surely find it.
