How did the hunter escape in the end?" I couldn't help but ask anxiously as we listened to the story. According to the plot, the hunter must have escaped in the end, otherwise this story wouldn't have been passed down. The problem was that at this point, he was already trapped and stuck to a stone wall with his body covered in insect eggs. The paralysis poison injected by the giant moth had not yet worn off. In this situation, I couldn't imagine how he could possibly escape unless a miracle happened; otherwise, he would be facing certain death.
Seeing my eagerness to know how the story ended, Shaeileen blinked her eyes and fluttered her long eyelashes before asking me: "Do you think this story is true or false?"
"Let's not discuss whether it's true or false for now," I said impatiently. "Can you just tell me what happens at the end?"
"No," Shaeileen shook her head. "If you don't believe in this story then there's no point in hearing its ending because it won't mean anything."
This made me feel a bit frustrated - what should I say? How would I know if this story was real or fake?
"I think it's true," Jietou suddenly spoke up and caught our attention.
"Weren't you blocking your ears all along?" I asked him.
"Even though my ears were blocked, being so close means that I can still hear everything clearly; I just didn't want my eardrums to burst from your shouting," Jietou replied as he took out some cotton from his ear and threw it out of window.
"Why do you think this story is true?" Shaeileen asked curiously.
Jietou put down his chopsticks and rubbed his belly before picking up a toothpick and saying: "The details of the story are consistent throughout without any obvious inconsistencies or absurdities. This is a clever and logical story that an illiterate hunter would not have been able to invent. Even though the story has been passed down through many people, it's still so well-crafted with such attention to detail that it can only mean one thing - this story actually happened. It's a true story.
"Well said, it seems like you were listening very carefully just now," Xie Yilin clapped her hands and then curiously leaned down to look at JIETOU's lower body, clearly investigating something.
"But even though I told you so many inappropriate plotlines for children, why don't you have any reaction? You're not young anymore and should have developed by now, right? Could it be that you prefer men?" Xie Yilin asked in a somewhat rogue manner.
"I practice the Vajra Lock Yang technique and recite the Heart Sutra. As long as I don't want my mind to be disturbed, I can naturally calm down," JIETOU said.
"Oh, I see. Impressive," Xie Yilin sneered before turning to me and asking: "Do you believe this story or not?"
"I do. Just tell us already. Don't waste time talking nonsense. If we don't finish this half chapter soon, readers will curse me out," I frowned.
"Okay then, let me continue telling the story," Xie Yilin said.
...
Just when the hunter was waiting for death with all his heart, things took a turn for the better.
A rustling sound came from the entrance of the cave followed by all those newly hatched moths inside flapping their wings frantically in panic as they flew outside.
The cave suddenly became empty while a gentle breeze blew in through the entrance carrying an intoxicating fragrance that made the hunter dizzy and confused once again causing him to react physically underneath him.
However this time around although he was drugged again he still managed to keep his head clear due to his previous experience but couldn't control his physical reactions caused by drug's effect on him
Of course there was another thing he couldn't control either which is under influence of drugs he started having hallucinations again
He saw an exquisite and delicate insect woman flying into the cave from the entrance.
He recognized that insect woman. She was the second one he had a relationship with, and her size and status among the insect women were only second to the queen of insects.
This insect woman seemed to have a bad relationship with the queen of insects, but there was a rather strange phenomenon where this insect woman seemed to be obsessed with him. She appeared in this cave risking danger just to see him.
Insect women couldn't speak, but they had expressions, movements, and sounds so that hunters could communicate with them. Although he knew that what he saw at this moment was just an illusion created by his mind under drug's effect she is actually just a huge moth all along ,the expression on her face was still controlled by her real self
So when that female moth came up to him, he hurriedly asked for help hoping she could release him.
What the hunter didn't expect was that a miracle really happened. The insect woman stared at him blankly, tears streaming down her face. Then she actually let him down from the rock wall and even gave him some food to eat after he had his fill.
After eating and drinking enough, the hunter regained his strength and quickly asked the insect woman to take him away.
The insect woman seemed to understand what he said, so she led the way in front while the hunter followed behind. They traveled along a dark underground cave until they finally arrived at a place where faint daylight shone through - it was where the hunter fell down before, with his rope still hanging there.
It was this rope that saved his life; otherwise, even if he reached the exit, he wouldn't be able to get out because it was too high for both himself and the small-sized insect woman who tried to save him.
With a full stomach, holding onto the rope tightly between his teeth, he climbed up with all his might until finally escaping from Bamboo Forest Swamp.
When he escaped into starry night sky outside of swampy area late at night ,the wind rustled behind him as soon as he ran few steps forward. When turning back around ,he found out that little bug girl who saved him flew right behind him like wanting follow along with them .
This situation made Hunter nervous because He knew what kind of creature this little bug girl is . So He came up with an idea: quietly grabbing a stick hiding behind himself then waved hand calling over Little Bug Girl .
"Hey hey--"
Little Bug Girl's face looked innocent just like before happily running towards Hunter hugging on His neck by wrapping Her slender arms around Him dangling Herself on His body .
Hunter also smiled on His face reaching out left hand grabbing Little Bug Girl's arm pushing Her away slightly then suddenly lifted up stick hitting hard on top of Little Bug Girl's head .
"Bang--"
With a muffled sound, the thick wooden stick hit Little Bug Girl's head hard. She was so fragile that she couldn't withstand this blow and immediately convulsed and fell backwards.
Then, the hunter grinned wildly, brandishing his big stick like crazy and charging forward.
