Chapter 9 - Conversation Near The Sarovar

Balraj saw someone standing in front of the door, with his back towards the door and face towards the Vakundam Sarovar (lake). That mysterious figure was seeing towards the lake. Balraj was walking just right to the lakeside. Due to the fog, Balraj was unable to get a clear image of the person standing in front of the hut, yet it felt very familiar to Balraj. Balraj was walking towards that hut. The closer he was getting to the hut the clearer that figure became to him. That figure was of none other than Advitya. When Balraj gets near Advitya, he saw that he had already filled both his pitcher to the brink and was waiting for him to reach. Advitya has made a hut out of bushes and leaves. Two thin long planks were laying near him. Those were nearly two meters long with groves at both ends. Suddenly that second person springs to Balraj's mind. He asks Advitya, "What happened to him? Where is he?"

"He is inside the hut." Advitya answered.

Advitya asks him, "Do you know the source of the poison of this lake? That's its center."

"So you wanna say that you have collected water from the central region of the lake where it has the most concentration of poison."

"You are correct but I have not given him the most poison-concentrated part of the water. I have just given him the poison strong enough to faint him. Make him unconscious and weak so that he will be unable to escape for the time we are not present here." "We will return once today's class is over." (Aditya's calm but powerful way of speaking can make anyone obey him even if they don't want to. The pressure of those words did not work on Balraj, as Advitya always speaks to him as a friend.)

Balraj asks Advitya, how he knew about the lake's poison source to which Advitya replied, "I will tell you about it some other day but we have to hurry for now as classes will start any time now."

"But what's about him."

"He will remain unconscious for approximately for next two pahars (one pahar equal three hours). For now, just fill and tie those pitchers with those planks. We have to leave at once. If you are not paying attention only a few minutes are left. We have to reach the Gurukul before the class began. And we have yet to climb two thousand stairs to reach Guru Agnicharan. And it will consume a lot of time."

On hearing these words Balraj begins to pay attention towards the environment. He cuts the rope into pieces and gives them to Advitya and begins to tie both his pitchers to the tipper ends of the planks. Advitya ties his pitcher with the plank using the rope that Balraj has bought. Balraj picks both planks. Advitya keeps one end of both planks on his shoulders the other ends were kept on Balraj's shoulders. Both of them began to climb stairs together. Advitya was leading the way and was followed by Balraj to the top of the Trichoti Mountain (the mountain with three peaks).
