"Great!" Baiyin instantly became joyful and intended to say thank you, but what came out was a contented exclamation. A sense of relief washed over her as a symbol settled upon Su He, and she took his hand and began to run forward through the starry sky.
A warm touch came from her hand. As they ran, Baiyin looked down to see that the hand she was holding had turned into a turtle claw.
Su He's body remained human, but his limbs had transformed into those of a turtle.
"The fusion is starting," Baiyin said softly. She lifted her finger and touched it to Su He's forehead. His limbs, which had turned into turtle claws, reverted back to human form, and even the turtle shell on his back shrank away.
Su He looked at her, puzzled, while Baiyin showed a face of disdain, "Human body with turtle claws is too ugly; it'd be better to grow a dragon head instead."
