He was running when suddenly he felt lighter, and when he looked up, he saw the man who had been sitting on his back had summoned a golden eagle at some point. He was sitting on the eagle's back, waving at him.
The elk was furious and bellowed at the golden eagle, leaping up in an attempt to knock the bird out of the sky and reclaim the man. The jump was a tremendous seven or eight zhang high, almost as if he would truly collide with the eagle.
But the man reached out and touched the elk's forehead, sending a wave of relief through it, causing it to fall back down to the ground.
"Go on, go on! I'll find you again when I leave," Zong Sunye waved his hand.
"Mew~"
The elk called out as it ran back. Although clearly not an Exotic Beast, it had acquired a hint of the charm of one.
