Feng Yaya lay on a fallen tree, legs crossed, looking up at the starry sky. The two little eagles snuggled in her arms, pecking at her armpits incessantly, crying out.

They'd hatched right in Feng Yaya's arms—she was their Bird Mom, but Feng Yaya was extremely irresponsible, disappearing every other day. If it weren't for that terrifyingly powerful Green Snake, the two birdies would have died a long time ago.
Earlier, when all the beasts had fled the dragon sucking up the water, Green Snake dared not take the two chicks with her and hid them in a bird's nest. Now that it was safe, she brought them back.
