Chapter 14 - The Assasination School

[PRESENT]

[Three Days Later AFTER Yohan's acceptance of Diana's deal]

--

Ramika, in a custom-made white coat suit and a complimenting white tie, stepped out of the 'quarters'. It was a totally new unknown side of the city and Ramika wasn't even mildly amused. The awaiting taxi caught her attention, triggering a recollection of Yohan's whispered words during her groggy morning state.

'I'll be leaving quickly... Don't be late to the school. Arrive before 9. A taxi will be arranged for you...'

"Hmph! School for 20-year-olds? How absurd can it be?" Ramika cursed to herself. She very well remembered her heated argument with Yohan, regarding his idea of dumping her in the school for assassins.

But she very well knew that Yohan must have had his reasons, so she agreed despite her unwillingness.

--

Shielded from the humans' eyes, the *School Of Assassins* functioned in secrecy by strategically locating itself in obscure corners of various cities and countries. And now, in Oasis, it was hidden in a secluded forest and was invisible to common humans due to the high-end technology that rendered the entire area invisible.

And Ramika, a simple human, entered the area, which was deliberately designed to prohibit the kinds of individuals like her. The taxi went all the way in and reached the magnificently installed huge iron door.

The door opened on its own as soon as the security showed his badge towards the hidden cameras embedded in the door. The sides of the door parted away and let the taxi pass.

And there Ramika witnessed the vast environment of the *Assassins' School* and the horde of students, walking towards the main campus. The taxi stopped, and the driver gave out a pink slip to Ramika.

"My job is done here, ma'am... Please follow the instructions on the slip."

The driver bid adieu and drove off, leaving Ramika to carry on her own. Holding on to her backpack, Ramika let a deep sigh and joined the walking crowd while looking at the slip, which had instructions on what to do and where to go.

'I can't write much, okay? Just ask someone where is B-15. They'll look weirdly at you and deliberately will point you in the wrong direction, giggling to themselves. Don't fall for it, it's for bullying you. For a hot second, they'll look in an unrelated direction before answering you. That's the direction of the hall. Take care.'

Ramika gritted her teeth and squashed the useless slip.

"How the fuck am I supposed to do that? What are these mind-reading, psychological stuff? And why the heck is he describing it like, it's easy?"

Sighing out loud, she just gave up and mindlessly followed his instructions, taking it not seriously.

But the surprising thing was... it worked.

--

Dressed in a black thigh slit mini skirt and a red shirt, Diana proudly walked through the corridors, hearing the number of gasps and chatterings praising her beauty. But Diana was all smiles because of the person next to her.

*BAM!* Her bodyguards kicked the door open and Diana, dragging the unwilling person next to her, entered the 'staff' room - a room for trainers and teaching staff to rest in their breaks, handle their paperwork and keep their things.

It was lavish and had every necessity, such as an air conditioner, a fridge containing beverages, and a candy box. And each teacher had their own desk in the shared cabin designed in a way like a round table and had a total of Six divisions. But only seven teachers were present and only seven seats were filled, while the eighth one was waiting for the replacement teacher.

Seeing Diana in front of them, all the teachers stood from their seats and obediently bowed to their Dean and Princess, but wondered who the person next to him was and why the ever-grim Diana was all smiles and bright.

"Ma'am, who is that?" the green eyes Professor Ramona asked, with her eyes darting over the bored and tired individual.

"Oh, this is the new trainee professor I handpicked myself who'll be teaching the students languages and culinary arts... Yohan Karvakarn!" Diana, with a heavy bass voice and too much excitement, introduced Yohan to the others, who were baffled at looking at the contrasting reaction of their boss and her new employee.

Wearing his glasses and chef uniform except for the hat, Yohan was literally wailing inside and had put on his joyless, dead face to avoid needless awkwardness. He hated the idea of being in the centre of attention, especially in the centre of darting eyes, looming over him.

Chits and chatterings soon ignited as the teachers talked among themselves, discussing their displacement on Diana's decision and bringing them forth to her attention.

"Professor Joshua hasn't resigned yet, right? Then how it's possible, ma'am?"

"This guy won't stand a single day... the students will eat them. And he even smells like a human. What is he?"

"Ma'am, Joshua will be pissed. He wouldn't like it. You know the control he has over the school and the senior students..."

Hearing all the worthless complaints, Diana glared with an irritated look, while her lips twitched to bite off each of their heads. The staff room soon became quiet as a graveyard with her cold aura, taking over the room, shutting their yapping mouths.

And soon, she laced the angry glare with her poisonous smile and 'comforted' her employees.

"Well... I'm pretty sure, Mister Yohan could take care of it, himself. Won't you, Yohan?"

"Get over it, please. I'm literally getting beaten to death by my anxiety here." Yohan sighed, wanting nothing from the situation.

"Alrighty, gentlemen and gentlewomen... Take care of my new employee. And whatever petty procedures you have and follow... YOU CAN." She said with a special pressure on the last part, triggering a feeling of suspicion in Yohan; who, of course, failed to think further about it and shrugged it off.

Diana exited the room, and Yohan casually turned towards his new colleagues and workplace; only to be faced by a hostile glare and deadly aura looming over him for reasons best known to only them.

'What did she mean by *YOU CAN*? What does that mean?' he thought.

--

As Yohan was lost in thoughts, Diana hopped into her car and drove off from the secluded forest and started travelling towards an important meeting she scheduled with an important person.

She unbuttoned her shirt and pulled down her skirt, as she changed into a cutout body con black gown, for the event.

In front of her, next to the driver's seat, Anya Rose handed her a glass of goat's blood and read out the 'message'.

"We strongly condemn the inclusion of the traitor Yohan Karvakarn and the criminal Ramika Ray aka Diana into the graveyard of the Underworld—"

"HAHA!! Fufuf... Sorry, Anya. Continue..." Diana Jones laughed at the coincidence of Ramika's original name being identical to hers and silently chuckled to herself.

While Anya continued with her strong, serious tone.

"Hence, we strongly appeal to excluding Yohan and delivering the intended justice for his treacherous acts, once and for all. Therefore, we would like to say, or in other words, warn the Vampire Clan to remove Yohan from their roster and handover to us. Otherwise, the Hunters' Clan would be forced to raise their hand—"

"Yeah, yeah... Enough, Anya. Tch!" Diana politely instructed her secretary, while she took three sweet sips of the blood, as she sighed and lamented.

But also laughed.

"Those dickheads... as usual. Wanted everything for themselves... Tch! Let them come. Let them have a taste of their enemy's blade." A small grin appeared on her face, as she chuckled, thinking the wildest and darker thoughts.

"Hmm... We'll see how the great Uncrowned King is going to defend himself. Against the wrath of the organization he left behind...."
