The red Ferrari drove into a military compound, the guards at the door looked at the sports car that just drove in and respect filled their eyes when they saw the person inside the car.
Madam Feng has prepared a lot of delicacies for the family. Even though she came from a rich family, cooking was one of her favorite things she loves to do whenever she was free.
Feng Yao, who was also known as Master Feng who never cares about his appearance this time around did not forget to put on his best suit so that he will look pleasing to his daughter's eyes.
Old Madam Feng who was walking downstairs with the help of the maid glanced at her son and her daughter-in-law who are so nervous as if they were going to see the president of a country and chuckled lightly.
The couples know that the old grandmother was laughing at them so they tried their best to look less nervous.
They heard the sound of the car honking in their compound and before anyone else could register what was going on, Madam Feng has already run out.
However, she was disappointed because the person that came out of the car was not her child but instead a beautiful girl.
The girl was tall and pretty, she was clad in military uniform with straight-up military boots which make her leg look even longer.
She looked heroic and her beauty falls in the handsome type.
"Susu, why are you here?" Madam Feng arranged her emotion and smile gently.
The girl is Feng Susu, Feng Yao's youngest niece, and was born on the day when the twins clock exactly a year.
Feng Susu bowed with a smile and then replied softly;
"I came for Feng Xi, she told me she is coming home today."
As soon as Madam Feng heard Feng Susu's words, she smiled even more brightly.
"Her brother has gone to pick her up from the airport, I guess they would be here soon."
Feng Yao who was waiting patiently for his daughter to come in stood up when he didn't see anyone, he walked out only to see his wife chatting with Feng Susu.
He was surprised to see Feng Susu, the girl who always stays at the border and rarely visits them, but he guessed why she was here since she was a friend of his daughter before she traveled abroad.
"Uncle." Feng Susu called out softly and Feng Yao smiled in response.
He was about to say something when a car suddenly stopped before them.
The trio turned towards the car and the door opened and Feng Xi and Feng Xun get out.
"Little Xi!!" Madam Feng called out almost immediately.
Feng Xi's eyes tried to adjust to the bright sun and then she look at the woman who called out her name and called softly.
"Mother." She then went into the woman's embrace.
It was then that she knew how much she missed her family, and it was also then that she felt it, the warmth of home.
Her mother's eyes had turned red while Feng Yao, Feng Xi, and Feng Susu who were standing at the back smiled with their eyes also red at the touching scene.
"Mother misses you so much, why didn't you come home? is mother not good enough?." asked Madam Feng with a voice thick with sadness.
Her daughter refused to return home for the past five years and whenever she went to visit her, all sorts of excuses will always be piled up like she was busy, she was not around, and so on.
Madam Feng blamed herself for all this, even though she might look carefree, she was actually sad.
Feng Xi's heart aches for her mother and said with the gentlest tone she could muster.
"Mom, I am the one at fault, I have made you sad."
Madam Feng sob softly and requested;
"Then promise me you wouldn't leave so soon."
The moment she asked that question, Madam Feng wished she could take it back.
She felt that she was pressuring her daughter and was waiting for her denial but she instead heard Feng Xi answer;
"Okay, I wouldn't leave soon."
Madam Feng was instantly stunned and look as if she was about to burst out of happiness and only came to her senses when her husband called out at her.
She pats Feng Xi on the shoulder and then said
"Good, good, Mom is so happy."
Feng Yao cleared his throat lightly and it was only then that Madam Feng released Feng Xi and then urged;
"Go, go and greet your father"
Feng Xi nodded and went to hug her father who try his best to not let his tears fall and next was Feng Susu.
"Susu." Feng Xi called out.
"Xixi."
The two girls hugged each other tightly and it was only then that they entered the living room.
They pay their respect to Old Madam Feng whose cheeks were sore from smiling.
The meal was served and just like what Feng Xi expected, they also tasted like home.
They chatted at the dining table, unlike the other times when they will try to maintain some etiquette.
After the meal, Feng Xun returned to the company while Feng Susu also left, promising to come the next day so that they could hang out together.
