The final bell rings to signal that school has ended and it is time to go home. Haru gets up from his desk, gathers his belongings and heads to his locker to find Samuel waiting for him. "Hey..." "You ready." Samuel says with a greeting smile on his face pretending as if nothing had happened earlier that day. "Yeah." Samuel and Haru are soon walking down the courtyard with an awkward silence. Samuel decides to speak first to try to break the ice and try to get to know Haru better. "So Haru I was wondering if you'd like to sometime want to hang out over the weekend... you know. To get to know each other better. " "Sure I don't think I'm doing anything this weekend so we can hang out." "Cool...cool....hey Haru." "Yes" "knock-nock!" "Who's there?" "Aardvark!" "Aardvark who?" "Aardvark a hundred miles for one of your smiles." Haru burst in laughter after hearing that terrible pun while Samuel blushed while laughing at his terrible pun. After a couple of moments of gut busting laughter Samuel finally had his breath n again to speak. "Haru. You look better when you smile." Haru blushed a deep red and gave Samuel a wide smile. "Thanks." Haru said to Samuel who is the one now blushing uncontrollably. Samuel tries to look the other way so Haru doesn't notice him blushing when suddenly Haru hears a soft cry of a cat.
"Hey do you hear that?" "Hear what?" Samuel asked questionly."
Cat:Mew
The cat meows weakly. "That!" "Yeah a little but it's faint." Haru follows where the sound is coming from and Samuel looks for it as well.
Cat: mew....mew
Haru soon finds where the noise is coming from and finds a cat stuck in a tree. "Samuel! Over here!" Samuel runs towards Haru and also sees the cat in the tree. Haru puts his bag next to the tree and begins to climb it. "Waite! What are you doing?!" Samuel practically yelled. "Getting the cat out of the tree. What else." It's dangerous climbing a tree like that" "It's ok I am an experienced expert." Haru says positively whilst finally reaching the top of the tree and then sits on the branch the cat is stuck on. "See." Haru says showing off. "Be careful!" Samuel says worrisomely. Haru starts calling the cat. "Here kitty, kitty, kitty, come to Haru."
The cat slowly walks to Haru on the branch. Suddenly the branch starts to break due to Haru's and the cats weigh upon it. Samuel notices and calls out to Haru. "Haru!!!" Haru reaches towards the cat. "Almost... there.." The branch breaks and Haru catches the cat mid air. Samuel just barely catches Haru falling from the tree and soon ends up on the ground. Cherry blossom petals fall on both boys head and shoulders. Haru sits up to see if Samuel is injured. "Samuel! Are you alright! Are you hurt!" "I'm fine. More importantly are you ok?" "I'm fine." "Thank god." Samuel sighs in relief that no harm had come to Haru.
Samuel notices the petals on Haru and begins laughing. "What are you laughing about?" Haru asked questionly. "You" Just then Samuel leans in closely to brush off the petals on Haru. Haru begins to blush a mad red catching Samuel off guard. He stared into Haru's deep blue eyes when the cat meows bringing hin back to reality and realizes the situation they are in. Samuel chuckles pulling away from the now blushing Haru and looks down to see the cat between him and Haru. Samuel picks up the cat the way a moma cat would. "So you were the one Haru was trying to save."
Cat: meow
"Hey you kinda cute." The cat scratches Samuel on the face giving him a little scratch. "Oww. That hurt you little fur ball." He said with a somewhat angry smile. While fighting with a cat Haru stares at Samuel still in shock of what he just did while still blushing. Samuel notices Haru's expression and gives him a smile. "I guess we should get going. But I don't know if I will be able to get up though. Haru realizes he has been sitting on top of Samuel this whole time blushing uncontrollably. "Oh!? I'm so sorry!!" Haru quickly gets off of Samuel with an embarrassed expression on his face. "It's ok. I didn't mind. Samuel said smiling while getting up still holding the cat .
Cat: meow
"Now what to do with you."
