Chapter 56 - Vera

"When did my life go wrong?" I asked myself as all my memories flashed before my eyes. Is this the so-called time slowing down as life flashes in front of you?

It seems like my life itself is a mistake, but I'm glad that I was able to have the most fun I've ever had in my entire nineteen years of living in Exonia with him for the past month.

I was born in a small outskirt village where you could count the number of people living there. Every day, I had to wake up and help around the village by feeding animals, watering crops, and earning something as small as a loaf of bread for my tough labor.

My mother died giving birth to me, so it was just me and my father. He kept using my mother's death as an excuse to stay at home and let me do the job of feeding myself.
