Penelope Askary decided to stay overnight at the Abelavish imperial palace.
Of course, the Duchess argued first with her husband, Edmund Gerwyn. The Duke did not allow Penelope to stay overnight anywhere else. There are three reasons. First, Edmund didn't want Penelope to get tired. Even though they could leave using teleportation magic, Penelope would still spend her time playing with Isabella Lysander if they were in the same place. Second, Edmund didn't want Penelope to meet Helios Rune Abelavish. The Duke was still annoyed by the words of the Crown Prince of the Abelavish empire who said he wanted to take Penelope Askary. And finally, Edmund still couldn't completely forgive Isabella Lysander. He may no longer show his anger openly but Edmund still thinks about Isabella's crimes in their past life.
