Penelope Askary sat alone in the backyard of Gerwyn's mansion.
She didn't want to be disturbed by anyone. After Sarah treated her wounds, Penelope was strong enough to heal herself using her healing powers. After checking Raven and Ocean's condition, she received information from Chris that the entire Brown family had been executed in the palace except for Gabriel Brown. He even helped the Emperor to check his little sister's belongings which had black magic in them.
"I'm so tired," Penelope muttered. The woman leaned her back against the tree trunk behind her and closed her eyes. She enjoyed the wind blowing around her. The wind seemed to want to calm her down. "How long do I have to experience horrible things like this? How long do I have to hide from death which always wants to pick me up? Can I protect Edmund, the twins, and the people I love in this world?"
