Edmund Gerwyn would have no problem if Penelope Askary wanted to buy everything in the world.
The man had a lot of money and Edmund was not shy about showing it off to everyone. All that money will also be owned by Penelope Askary. However, Edmund would prefer that Penelope spend his money buying expensive dresses or jewelry, not buying food on the side of the road that even Edmund doesn't know whether the food is clean and non-toxic or not.
