Right as her voice sounded, Luke managed to lodge the sword half a food deep into the concrete and prevent his fall.
After a moment, he pulled himself up, stood on the sword, and looked up. He was still less than ten feet away from reaching the top of the wall.
'Let's hope this doesn't come out.' Luke thought, glancing at the sword.
Then, slowly, he started making low jumps on the sword hilt, causing it to flex down and up.
Weng!
Weng!
When he had built enough momentum, star energy rushed into his leg muscles as he made the highest vertical jump of his life—eight feet.
Clang!
At the same time, the sword slipped out of the wall and fell down.
Though the jump wasn't enough to propel him to the top of the wall, the top was just over a foot higher.
Before gravity pulled him down, he grabbed the edge of the wall and pulled himself up, finally mounting once seemingly insurmountable city walls.
Phew!
