"It's about Karl! .. He is probably dead." Alan said it with a straight face.
"I know what you are thinking! It's not confirmed what happened to him... Not yet at least ." Alan proceeded. "Karl has not returned from a mission that was supposed to end four days ago; also, the life force from his crest somehow vanished away... And according to the royal court, anyone missing in royal forces for five days or more will be declared dead."
Listening to this, Aryan just didn't know how to respond. He wasn't very close to Karl or anything, but still, He wasn't very close to Karl or anything, but still! The impression Karl left in his mind was of a genuine and fair person. Not to mention, he assisted him so much for nothing in return. It was quite a fright for him to know that someone as substantial as Karl had gone missing.
"So, you guys didn't try to find him?" Aryan asked with a frown on his face.
"What do you think we are doing right now?" Sylpha spoke out in frustration.
"If you are willing to spare your time to ask me, that means I must be one of the prime suspects somehow." Aryan raised a question, staring directly into Alan's eyes.
Although in the face of any A ranker or above, people might not even be able to speak clearly due to their intimidating presence. But for Aryan, somehow, even after glancing directly into Alan's eyes, he was still as expressionless as ever.
"You are a wise one." Mike said, standing up and walking towards Aryan, "But you are a little wrong here."
"We didn't contact you because you are a prime suspect; instead, we contacted you because we need you to do something for us." "I think if you cooperate with us a little, we can find our way to Karl," Alan said, pulling a cubical box out of his dimension space.
"And what makes you believe that a level 2 adventurer will have any chance to affect someone strong enough to take down Karl? " Aryan gave a confused look while asking this question.
The group looked at Alan as silence fell upon the room. Frankly, Alan himself wasn't sure that this method would yield any results. If not for the minister's idea and the emergency of the situation, Alan's pride wouldn't have let him ask anyone to put their lives on the line for his cause.
"Cough!!Cough!!"
Sensing the silence of the situation, a figure emerged out of the shadow beneath Alan's chair to take the situation under control. For others, this came as quite a surprise, but for Aryan, he was able to sense the presence of four people in the room the moment he entered.
Maybe it's due to my dark magic powers—Aryan thought.
"Please allow me to introduce myself." A woman figure with 5 feet 9 inches of height, black hair, fair skin, and red eyes said she was coming out of a shadow in a witch like dress.
"My name is Liana Drex, the eldest daughter of the defence minister in the city." She said in a seductive voice as she came close to Aryan to touch his cheeks in a seductive manner "And I like your kind of guys".
"Please mind your manners, Lady Liana." Alan said this with a frown on his face. If not for the conditions they were put in, he would never associate himself with someone like her.
"hoh!! Is the captain of the Royal Knight squad somehow jealous? I didn't see that coming." Liana said while covering her smile with her hands. Liana then made her way back and started to walk around the chair Aryan was sitting on.
"Well, you see, dear, you happen to be a little close with a certain someone I want to keep a watch on... I also have strong reasons to suspect that a certain someone is somehow related to Karl's incident." Liana stopped behind the chair and came close to Aryan, holding onto his shoulders.
"Although the risk is great, trust me, the royal court promises a good reward for you." She then bent a little to whisper something in Aryan's ears: "And who knows if you can get some bonus rewards too?"
Aryan was well aware of the situation and the mess he was currently in, so he didn't let his emotions get in the way and risk his life. Karl was a good guy, but not good enough for him to put his life on the line.
"That's quite a generous offer, Lady Leana, but I will have to disappoint you with my answer." Aryan stood up from the chair while walking out of the door. "I will still choose my life over any rewards from the royal court."
The whole room fell silent on his answer; although they expected this kind of response, there was still some hope inside their hearts that maybe Aryan could help them out of this.
"You picked my interest, boy!" Leana said in her seductive voice, "If fate allows, then we shall meet again." She said this while Aryan was leaving the old wood room.
-Huh!! Man, that was tough, not to mention that woman. She is dangerous; better stay as far from her as possible. Aryan thought
Also, I don't need her cooperation anyway since I already have an idea of who the suspect could be." Aryan said internally while he clicked on his wristband to check the time.
[8:21 PM]
Ahh shit It's this late already; I guess I will try some new dishes in this world today. Aryan thought with a smile on his face as he headed towards a restaurant on his left.
Due to a lack of knowledge, he was being watched by someone sitting on top of a 6-story building near the street. As it saw Aryan enter the restaurant, the figure turned off his communicator and started to write something in his small pocket diary.
************
While the whole city was sleeping, a woman in a hood appeared in front of an old, gloomy house.
This was the same house where Aryan was introduced as the clan base today.
The hooded figure used some magic and levitated towards a specific window on the third floor.
Inside the room, as if Alena was waiting for this woman, she stood up from her bed and unlocked the window.
"You took your sweet time, darling," Alena said, smiling as she pressed her lips against the hooded woman.
Their moment lasted for a few minutes before the woman pushed Alena onto the bed and uncovered her hooligan.
"So how was the work today?" Alena asked while lying on the mattress.
The hooded woman climbed onto the bed and kissed Alena's neck passionately before replying in a seductive voice.
"The mission went well, but not as well as you."
Alena turned the woman towards the bed, and she sat on her top.
while her hand slowly moved down the woman's chest, gently removing her clothes.
"Although you may not like my way of things, I can always guarantee a decent result this way, even if it costs my life."
"Sheshh," Alena said, putting her figure on the woman's pink lips.
"As long as you can get me the head of the city lord, I don't mind anything you do." Alena said as she removed her clothes, revealing her beautiful curves even more, before she went for the kiss again, just to be stopped by a palm on her mouth.
"Although I like your determination, I will suggest you keep your distance from that green-haired elf; he can be more of a throne in our path than we imagined." The mysterious woman said
"Don't worry, I already have a plan for him," Alena replied with a clever smirk.
The woman smiled back in response as she removed her palm from Alena's lips as the two went intimate again, only to mark the beautiful full moon night with their seductive moans and soft cries.
