Mr. Evans blows his top.
The patience he built up drained by this absurd situation. Running a hand through his hair, he laughs. Arms clutching around his stomach, bending down. He laughs and laughs. Maniacally.
People stare at him blankly, especially Adrian and Kristoff-the two people who knows what Mr. Evans' attitude is.
Adrian visibly flinches. This. This is actually the first time he had seen Mr. Evans losing his composure.
Mr. Evans. Adrian can describe him as a man to have a long patience. The type of individual who has everything under control. Before, the nickname troublemaker was attached on his name since then, Mr. Evans painstakingly listened and guided him in the right path. With his efforts, his attitude somewhat tempered and mellowed down, becoming what he is now: a gentleman.
However, this incident sparked his dormant mischievousness. He could not control his inner pent up childishness and without further ado, let it control him. Adrian side eyed Lucas. The culprit of everything.
Adrian pins the disaster on him.
''It's your fault, Allard.'' Adrian grumbles under his breath expecting him not to hear.
Having the urge to follow up sentences to blame Allard further, he frowns hearing Lucas acknowledging it.
''You're half right Ventura except you cannot blame everything on me. Isn't it also your fault since you paid us equally attention? Moreover, it was you guys who invaded our comfort zone.''
''Not in a willing manner.'' Adrian sullenly retorts, defending himself. His arm by his side, he rubs his fingers on his trousers.
If he was given the chance or choice to pick, he would not ever let the two academies to even merge. Technically, he won't even glance in their way.
Lucas shrugs. Amused in being involved. Interesting.
Not really is the first day of having them as schoolmates yet they already had made one of the teachers going crazy over them. Sooner, Lucas had predicted this much. He was not fazed. Normally, a bond with Owen is bound for him to experience multiple situations.
His title of being 'Ice Prince' is not the only thing attached to his name. From the years, another title was added: Troublemaker duo. He lives up to his title.
Lucas finds this funny. And is that Mr. Evans hair thinning at a faster rate? Might be soon he will be going bald.
Kristoff is shocked. The outcome is not what he is expecting. Mr. Evans had finally reached his limits today. Additionally, he knows he is the person who set the fire. Shivers run through his spine resulting in him shivering physically.
Mr. Evans' attitude, Kristoff is not too sure if what punishment they will receive. In the past, Adrian and him have to write an apology letter. Five pages of it while Mr. Evans watches them over. That punishment was the routine he knows. He thought that it was still the same. He will just find Mr. Evans kindly reprimanded them yet it seems he had thought beautifully.
Mr. Evans' reaction is not the usual response. The guilt descends.
Whoever is in his position will be filled with remorse. Abandoning his teammates, he would sell them out immediately. Luckily enough, Kristoff is not like that. Loyalty carves in his bones. He shuts his mouth. Looking away so he will not have the urge to yield say what had transpired.
Someone tugging on his white uniform by his side, Kristoff gives a pointed look.
Owen internally winces. They have done it. They really did. They broke the record. They touched a nerve.
To make sure, a questioning look was sent to Kristoff. He tugged his uniform. The response is unexpected. It was just Kristoff widening his eyes.
Owen is not sure what Kristoff- is this his name?-tries to say. By his body language he gives off, was he making himself look hilarious so that he would laugh? His brows furrowed, puzzled with that the hell Kristoff is doing.
This is not the time to be joking! Seriously, what is this person up to?
Besides, Kristoff had started this brawl. The leeway he had come up with did not pass. It's not like he is not used to receiving punishment. He has undergone different types of punishment. Writing an apology letter , standing in the corner, cleaning the bathroom, watering the garden, and any community service, he had done everything.
He is not sure what the punishment style he will give. Mr. Evans is unlike other teachers he had seen. The gentleness he had seen from the past vanished instantly when Kristoff had agreed with his statement. It's like he has gotten enough with the bullshit they have come up with.
This is not good. Lucas and Owen made a bad impression.
Speaking of punishment, he should not be thinking about such nonsense, however, curiosity won. What kind of punishment will they be taking? Hopefully, simple and not extraneous.
Owen thinks.
Mr. Evans decisively knows how to deal with this. Since doing things gently is not working, the countermeasures he had long buried in the depths of his mind have come to light. After finishing laughing in a mad manner, Mr. Evans straightened up. He brushes his hair upwards, fixing the strands that went astray from his action.
''Alright, since you insist and are stubborn with this. I have no choice but to give you punishment. All I ever wanted was the truth. However, to my dismay, you guys do not want to give it to me.'' Mr. Evans pauses. Letting the words be digested by them.
A minute passes by, Mr. Evans continues seriously,"You leave me no choice.''
The school doctor had seen many incidents in his line of work. But, this is by far the most amusing and pleasurable he had encountered. On the swivel chair, he listens attentively to Mr. Evans, the new teacher that introduced himself days ago.
An empty paper cup in his hand, he plays with it and crushes it in surprise. He peers over, the students rather the two students he had treated paled in seconds while the other two, to his amazement are unbothered.
The punishment. The school doctor chuckles faintly.
Mr. Evans made such an interesting one. He should ask him out for coffee sometimes.
