"So, are you going to answer my question?" the blonde woman continue to ask.
"Who are you, great Sovereign?" the second strongest of the gathered men asked, bowing his head while doing so.
"Who are you to ask such thing from me?" her voice thundered as he felt his soul shake a little from her scolding alone.
"I all sorry, great Sovereign. Please tell me what you want to know," knowing he would not stand a chance against the woman, he lowered his head subserviently.
"I asked, where is this man?" an image of Ryker appeared, the men quickly know who it is.
"We don't know, great Sovereign, we never met him before," which is the truth, as they have never seen him before except from image crystals.
The woman narrowed her eyes as she made a grasping motion, the head of the man besides him exploded.
"I don't have time for this. I know you try to kill. As for the reason, I do not care, but the attempt on his life angered someone that would make your life very miserable," the blonde said.
"Who cou-" the man's voice die out as he watched the woman took out a special token, one that was only hold by the King and Grand Duke, something that could not be mimicked as it contain the aura of the King himself.
"I apologise for my ignorance!" all of the men there lowered their heads, knowing they are in the wrong. The woman sneered before pocketing the token back.
"Get the hell out of here and make sure to go back to the capital. If not, the others will be less merciful," not knowing who others are, the men nodded before two of the Noble experts carried the mutilated Noble and Duke Lugh, who was still groggy from the strike he received.
Using her Soul Sense to make sure they are away, the blonde quickly took out a communication token and contact Ryker.
-x-
"I probable need some more rest and maybe healing pills to accelerate the healing process," Ryker said to himself as he took out another pill when his communication token began to buzz.
Quickly eating the pill, Ryker grabbed the token and poured his Soul Sense, connecting to the other side.
"Where are you?" Lariz's aunt asked, causing him to freeze at the moment, as he did not expect to be contacted by her, of all people.
"I don't know," he answered honestly, as he did not knew where he is. "Right now, I am inside a cave, healing myself at the moment,"
Collete made a humming noise before asking more details of how he was attacked. Not seeing anything wrong with it, Ryker immediately told her of what happened.
When he finished, the other side when quiet to the point he thought she had cut of the connection, when Collete suddenly said, "Don't worry, they will get their comeuppance after this,"
Her voice was calm yet Ryker could detect a hint of malice, and he sure if he can see her, she would be surrounded by black miasma.
"Alright and thank, I probably remain inside the cave for who know how long, probably until I am healed. I don't want to get jumped in by any beast in my current state," Collete seem to nod from wherever she is.
"Understood, just stay there until either I or the others arrive," Ryker gave her a noise of affirmation, before continuing his healing process.
That is, until his Soul Sense detecting several beings coming close to his current hiding place. While they are only Tier 9 Genesis Beast, with him in a horrible state, they would be able to kill him.
Not to mention, his stronger soul could detect the existence of the Spirit Beast behind them, something he could not hope to take at his current state.
Realizing he need to change his plan, he sent a message before escaping, not intending to trap himself in the cave.
-x-
"Another message?" Collete asked herself with a frown. She quickly used her Soul Sense before her eyes get wide open.
"Crap!" she cursed, flying faster and using her Soul Sense. With him being chased by Spirit Beast at his current state, escaping would be near impossible, but maybe, just maybe, she would be able to spot the boy.
-x-
"This is getting out of hand! Now there are 7 of them!" Ryker yelled out, tearing a path through the space to get further away. But as he did so, his current state get even worse.
But with him being chased by several Tier 9 Genesis Beast, he did not have such a choice. He could only do his beast on not dying, hoping to find Collete while escaping death itself.
"I just have to find her," he said to himself before using his Soul Sense. Out of all the injury he has, his Soul is the less injured of them all. With beasts, unless their strength is in Soul, would have weaker soul that sentient races of the same cultivation realm.
So, he just release his Soul Sense while using his Soul Technique to disturb them, making them unlikely to reach him. Unfortunately, he failed to take into account the Spirit Beast.
Seeing it's underling unable to grab it supposed food, the Spirit Beast, a hound beast growled before leaping towards him.
Ryker cursed. While against the Genesis Beast, his Soul attack still have some effect. But against a Spirit Beast, in his current state, it did not amount too much.
The only use of his Soul is to detect the Spirit Beast exact location. Other than that, there is no use whatsoever.
Even with him teleporting using his mastery of Law of Space, the hound beast keep getting closer, to the point he could feel the breath of the beast at the back of neck.
He keep on going, even as his strength began to left him, fatigue catching up to the eldest brother. As he opened another tear in space, his injuries act up, causing him to close the tear.
'So, this is how I die,' as he thought of it, he heard the hound beast whimpered, clearly afraid of something. He did not dare to hope but he did try to look upward and spot his saviour, Collete, in her green dress, though with armor on top of it.
The Sovereign merely glared at the beast, before flicking her finger, sending it flying. It did not do anything else, merely lowering it's head before running away, frighten out of it's mind.
As Ryker let out a sigh of relief, he suddenly felt himself being carried, bridal style. While it is embarassing, with him being too tired, he did not care for such thing, instead, taking the chance to heal himself.
