Chapter 210 - Before The Show

When the two came out of their room, they were met with a knowing smile. While he had used his qi to make the room soundproof, so as not to let the noise of his and Mashia's lovemaking get too loud, the happy face and clear limp on Mashia showed everything they needed to know.

When they sat down, Ina quickly moved to claim the seat next to him, despite being seated previously at somewhere else.

"I hope you can show us a good time tonight, darling," she whispered seductively, making Ryker's blood boil, in a good way. Oh, how he is going to make her regret being such a teasing little vixen.

As usual, Ariana walked towards him and climbed in his lap, taking her place during the meals they had together. He stroked the hair of the little girl while listening to their talk. The others talk about a lot of things, how they spend their time in their room for the entire day before looking at him, their face asking how long will they have to do this.

Ryker wants to give them a clear answer but with what happened to Mashia, he is not taking any chances, not until he is able to get retribution on the group involved. So, he could only stall for now.

"When it is safer," the answer didn't seem to satisfy them but they accepted. After all, he has the right to be protective over them.

With no one else talking about it, Ryker decided to finish his meal and go to the Craftsman Alliances building. He has a deal to be done with.

The next three days had been productive in his opinion. Despite not being a Grade 2 yet at any of the major professions, he was getting close to it, with him believing it would take him only 2 days or more to reach his target.

However, the one thing he was happiest about was the fact the arrangement he had made with the president had been finished. The president was able to get several people to help with this, all of them being higher up in Karbin City.

After all, who wouldn't want the favor of the highest-ranking member of the Craftsman Alliance, a Genesis Grade 8 Alchemist at that? So, it was no surprise why they all readily agreed to it, after all, the things they agreed with were easy to achieve.

All he had to do now was wait for the trap to be sprung. Oh, how he will enjoy this.

The next day, he went to the arena. After all, the most exciting show would begin, it's a shame that the people who are trapped didn't know their fate. Oh, who was he kidding, he would cherish the look of shock and terror on their face.

He had signed in the arena, signing as a fighter with a cultivation at the 1st Stage Genesis Core. Which is not a lie, but still not the full truth either. The man who was involved with the signing is one of the people who rigged the fight between Mashia and the man, who he now know as one of the heirs of one of 1st tier family in Karbin City, with an expert at the Genesis Lake realm, though only at the 2nd Stage.

If the plan is going well, his match would be rigged and he would likely face several Genesis Source experts at once, which would only be a mild inconvenience for him, someone with the strength of a Genesis Spring expert.

He reached the waiting room, where he would have to wait for a few minutes before he would be called out to fight. As he waited, he could see the young master glaring at him, his glare seemingly trying to burn a hole through his body.

Against a spoiled brat like him, he didn't pay much mind, after all, the brat will not be alive for any longer if all goes to plan. In what seemed to be hours, his match had been announced. Not wanting to waste time, he went outside, already looking forward to the coming play.

The young master glared at the gate, hoping it would open soon. His informants had already told him about the young man that had disgraced him twice. No way he would let him escape now that he had him in his grasp.

He didn't have to wait long as the gate opened and the young man came out of the pathway, looking at the spectators with a smile. He scoffed, the smile would be gone by the end of this match, along with his pathetic life.

"You know what to do, cripple him and then beat him up. I want that person to be humiliated to the point his dignity is non-existent by the end of this fight," he told his men, 50 of them waiting to come out of their gate, 10 of them even at the Genesis Source realm.

The men nodded, not answering, as to what they were supposed to do. They truly are his family's best elites, their loyalty to no one but the main line. The young man would be no match for one of them, not to mention 50 at once.

He is looking forward to the spectacle.

The president of the Craftsman Alliance had sat down in one of the designated places, reserved for him and him only for as long as he lived, which no one could sit on his place except if permitted by the man himself.

His presence, while surprising as he was not known by the populace of Karbin City, mostly because he spent most of his time in the Craftsman Alliance building, only exiting on a few occasions, was eclipsed by someone else, the City Lord of Karbin City.

The man had reached the peak of Genesis Lake and only needed a fortunate encounter before his likely ascension to the Genesis Sea realm. While he had visited and even spectated the match of the arena, it was usually announced first to the citizens, to make the occasion even more grandeur and give the organizers more time to prepare matches that would interest the ruler of their city.

However, he didn't announce his presence, opting to only use his designated seats while not telling anyone of his arrival. After all, while his seat can be easily seen by all, so they could have the chance to see the ruler when he came and visited the arena, if he wanted to, he could activate the formation in his seating area and not appear at all to the spectators and fighters.

Besides him, in addition of the president of Craftsman Alliance, there is also the head of Karbin City Adventure Guild, having been invited on the occasion as well by his counterpart in the Craftsman Alliance.

Unlike the City Lord, however, he had known about what was coming, as he had personally come and see the young man who asked for his counterpart's help, as the young man is also a member of the Adventure Guild and a promising one at that.
