Shuri watched as a guard after guard was beaten by the young man. She looked at her cousin, who seemingly had expected the turn of events. She was about to ask Solance more when the young man cast his eyes to a group outside the field, the group members sharing two things in common, their cultivation being at the peak of Genesis Foundation and they all suffering a defeat under Ryker.
"What are those guys up to now?"

After beating another guard, this time at the 6th Stage of Genesis Foundation, Ryker looked at the opponent's side, to see the lack of guards. "That's all of them?" he asked disappointingly. He wished to fight an opponent equal to him, but it seemed it would be a pipe dream.
He waited longer. After nearly half an hour, he was about to call it quits when a group of guards walked towards him. The leader looked at him with a fierce face, "We might not be strong enough to defeat you all alone, but with a group, we will stand a better chance," he announced.
Ryker nodded, "Sure, I'll allow it. Just make it entertaining,"

Silence watched as the group of peak Genesis Foundation experts teamed up to face Ryker. The smartest decision they made today. Still, he wonder if it was enough, especially if they decided to do 'that'.
"The fight starting," Shuri exclaimed, making Solance steer away from his thought. He looked at the fight and saw that despite their numbers, the guards were slowly being pushed away.
There is an advantage in a team fight. Namely, if one can surround them and bombard them with attack, the group would have the advantage, using their overwhelming number against their single for.
However, if their opponents are skilled enough to get close to them, this advantage will be turned into a disadvantage, as they have to worry about hitting their allies if they can't stop the enemies from getting too close.
Ryker must realized the same thing as he always moved to get close enough so they couldn't bombard him. His melee skill turned this into a more loop-sided fight as the guards could barely block his onslaught.
They must have realized this as they forced him to retreat before grouping up. The guards closed their eyes, and their qi seemed to synchronize and merge with one another, an avatar of light, shaped in an armored warrior form, emerged.
"So they do use Battle Formation," Solance exhaled.
Battle Formation is a technique used by a group of people working together to fight against someone at a higher cultivation realm. It could bridge the gap of the major realm if used by experts who had been working together as the requisite for stronger Battle Formation is the synchronization of the entire group.
By using a Battle Formation, two things could occur. One, the leader would be empowered, allowing them to fight stronger enemies. Two, the group could create techniques, such as seals or an avatar to fight a stronger opponent.
For example, even 5 peak Genesis Foundation experts could barely hold their win against a Genesis Core expert at the first stage. However, using Battle Formation, they would able to form a force equal to the Genesis Core.
With 5 peak Genesis Foundation experts using Battle Formation, an aura equal to a Genesis Core expert at the first stage is expected. Doubly so when the ones using it were guards of the Hal Family who had been training to be the best, their strength greater than most in the same cultivation realm.
They are able to create a Genesis Core avatar at the 2nd Stage Genesis Foundation, something that is way above Ryker's level. Solance sighed, looks like the victor would be the guard this time.

Compared to Solance, Ryker was smiling widely. After all, this was what he looking for, the ability to fight someone at the Genesis Core realm. Sure, the group used Battle Formation (he knew it from his last conversation with Solance) but it was still a power equal to the Genesis Core realm.
He had fought Genesis Core expert before, but in the end, he used a powerful move that drained him, though he was able to shrug it off, lessening the drain in his qi with his mastery of Law of Fire and Death.
However, here, this was just a friendly spar. There is no way he would use such devastating moves. The only thing he would use is his sword skills. Using his swordsmanship only would put a lot of pressure on him, but that was something he wanted.
After all, there is no better way to improve oneself than training. Besides, he has a secret weapon, namely, his mastery of the Lore of Sword had almost reached the first level. He just needs some push to be able to get it to the Elemental Understanding.
He covered himself with powerful qi, waiting for them to strike. The group would have to strike first if they don't want to be branded as cowards. As he thought, they used a technique, likely a sealing technique to pin him down. They created a large golden cage, throwing it at him in an attempt to seal him.
Avoiding the cage that they threw at him, he retreated, only for the cage to chase after him. Moving away from the technique, he frowned as the cage continued to chase after him. Deciding he should stop it, he gathered a large amount of qi at the tip of his sword and thrust it, the powerful attack collided with the seal, causing a huge blast that almost sent some guards flying.
When the cloud of dust created by the blast disappeared, the crowd could see the cage had gone as well, while the guards had nosebleeds and blood flowing out of their mouths. The backlash of having one of their technique destroyed had been lessened due to being in a Battle Formation but they still got hurt.
As for Ryker, the young man remained standing, though his right arm had some cuts though all of them were created by him. Have to let them think he suffered or else there would be some questions.
Seeing him being relatively okay, the crowd goes wild, surprised by the fact someone was able to fight a Battle Formation formed by the five strongest guards at the Genesis Foundation realm while being at the Genesis Foundation realm, and at the 5th Stage at that.
The guards sparing with him undo their Battle Formation, bowing slightly at the young man. "This is our defeat, when we are stronger, we would ask you for guidance," the leader said, before looking at the young man.
Surprisingly, he didn't seem to notice them. In fact, he seemed to emit a sharp qi, making the leader feel uneasy. Before he could get closer, a voice stopped him.
"Get away as quickly as possible, he had just had an enlightenment, "
