Thankfully, the staff returned with an older man, a supervisor from his clothing, one that was similar to his old supervisor's clothes. The older man takes a quick peek at the storage rings Ryker threw and inspects them one by one.
When he finished, while he didn't act as his subordinates, his face was pale, trembling a bit. He grabbed Ryker by the arm, pulling him to the employee part of the building. The other was about to chase after him but was stopped by the staff.
"Don't worry. Teacher just wants to get him approved of his rank up," the staff assured them. Even with her words, they still glanced in his direction, hoping he would be okay.

Ryker let the older man pull him despite the fact he could easily beat him. The reason was he had no reason to beat the older man, the man clearly wanted his presence for something. Secondly, if he beat the old man, he likely would be put under prohibition, maybe even banned by the guild.
That was the only reason why he let the older man pull him, besides his curiosity about what they were about to do.
They arrived at a large door, and the older man knocked on it. The door opened soon, showing a decorated office, a black-haired man who looked younger than the old man sitting there.
"Sir, I want to get his rise in rank approved," the older man respectfully said. The black-haired man looked at him, before asking him.
"I never see him before in the guild. So what did he do that you deemed him enough to get a rank rise?" the older man looked at the black-haired man confidently.
"He defeated the Bronze Horned Rhino herd, all by himself."
"So that's what he does? But didn't that mean he was already at the highest rank?" he questioned the old man.
"He was still a one-diamond adventurer, but he received a token from the Alten City Branch Leader so my staff decided to allow him to take the mission, though he would receive a penalty if he failed to accomplish it," the old man said, before telling him about the staff decision.
Hearing the tale, the black-haired man cast another gaze at him before nodding, "Because of his achievement of finishing an A-rank mission, then his rank up would be approved,"
"Sir, he also killed the other rhino besides the leader," the old man continued.
"Oh, then didn't the reward for each rhino kill have been set up, why do you need to report it to me?" knowing there must be a reason for his subordinates to bring it up, the man couldn't help but ask.
"It's because he killed every one of them, 50 rhino carcasses inside several storage rings. That's why I need to tell you, sir," the old man reported.
The gaping maw of the black-haired man tells them the man having trouble believing him. After a while, he was able to gain his composure. "All of them, at you sure?"
"Yes, I had counted 50 rhinos, not including the leader. Unless there are Bronze Horned Rhino of that herd splitting up or our intel had been wrong, then all of them should be killed," the black-haired man seemed to tremble before he let out loud guffaws.
"Hahahaah, those pests get what they deserve. You were right to bring this to my attention. Because he exterminated the entire herd, I think he should get all of the rewards of the mission, plus the bonus of killing each rhino, with rewards increased by 25 percent for eliminating the threats. I think that would be fair,"
Ryker thought about the number before nodding. All in all, receiving extra for eliminating an entire herd sounds like a completely fair deal for him.
"Good, you can claim your rewards at the counter," the black-haired man said, Ryker nodding before leaving the office.
The old man looked at his superior and couldn't help but ask, "Sir Rota, why didn't you try to bring him into our group? With someone like him, he would be a valuable asset,"
Rota sighed, his subordinates meant well but he didn't see the bigger picture, "The fact he could be valuable is the reason why I don't plan to bring him into my fold. Someone as strong as him would change things, but would it be good for the Guild?
That's why no one among the three factions inside the guild tries to grab promising adventurers and A-rank Genesis Foundation realm adventurers as it would escalate things. So, the best thing would be to try to maintain a good relationship with him,"
Hearing his superior explanation, the old man nodded, seeing why neither of the three factions tried to recruit more powerful people. In the end, not was all about maintaining a balance among the three factions of the Mariz City Adventure Guild.

When he returned to the reception area, he was met with the sight of his three lovers having a cordial talk with the staff who served them. Which surprised him as he thought they didn't like her and vice versa.
"Oh, Ryker! You're done with whatever going on?" Ina asked, he merely nodded before looking curiously at the staff.
"Oh, she never tells you her name. This is Lisha," Era introduced Lisha to him, Ryker merely looked at her before turning towards Mashia.
"So, you fine with her?" he asked, making the girls look at him in surprise.
"What do you mean by that?" Mashia asked back, her arms crossed.
"Well... you did seem to act like you don't like her," he said, hoping to not anger any of the women.
"Oh, that. That is just because we misunderstand something. So you don't have to worry," Era said. Ryker nodded, happy whatever caused them to act like that to Lisha had disappeared.
"We should get our rewards and then head back to our home soon," he reminded them when the 4 women were about to talk to themselves.
The women pouted but he merely stared at them, not wanting them to talk for who knew how long. He had experienced it once before. Never again.
"Alright, let's take a look at each mission requirement and how much bonus you can get?" Lisha said, heading towards the counter to do her job.

For both Era and Ina, they both get about 50 gold pieces for their missions. As for Mashia, she got 190 gold tablets, which are worth about 19000 gold coins. The only reason she got so many was that she had killed the Golden Winged Eagle leader, a Genesis Beast at the 4th Stage.
However, it was Ryker who earned the most. Taking down the leader had earned him 5000 gold tablets. Taking down one extra rhino would get him 1000 gold tablets. Killing all 50 plus the 25 percent bonuses would get him another 62500 gold tablets, more than enough for him to buy the house they were living in now.
