I'm in the middle of work, trying to get that Weekly Top Employee recognition. I'm currently an intern in CyberOrg, a corporation focusing on technological services. It's been a month since I started here and I'm already eager to be acknowledged as an efficient person. I have no idea what has gotten into me, but being the only intern, whilst my colleagues are all tenured made me want to prove something.
Pushing myself has been my go-to technique every time I set a goal I want to achieve. It's unhealthy and definitely energy-consuming, but I can't avoid it. It's like a default drive in my system.
"Gently following up on the Minutes of the Meeting (MOM) last night, Dean." I murmured as I typed in and send it to one of my colleagues. He's a slacker is all I could say to this guy. We both graduated this year, but he's five months earlier than me. I've been talking to him almost everyday because we're the same age, yet I can totally say that his work ethics is sometimes a bit questionable.
Not for long, I heard a soft nudge on my shoulder. I turned around and saw Dean in his swivel chair. "Tia, geez! I didn't know it was my turn last night. Sorry, did you jot down a few topics?" He muttered while craning his neck to see if I have my notepad on the desk. I carry it all the time, making certain to write things down just so I don't forget the items we tackled every meeting.
After spotting my notepad, he grinned widely. He held the back of my swivel chair, and pushed me a little to make way on my desk.
See! This is what I'm talking about! He didn't even wait for my response and decided to act hastily.
