"Liu! Liu! Wake up! Liu!" a voice called out to him.
He could barely feel anything. His body was numb, and his mind was empty. Sounds were distant, muffled, like echoes from far away. But slowly, bit by bit, fragments of his senses started to return.
First was touch. Something…no, someone, was shaking him, trying to wake him up. Then came sound. The voice calling out to him became clearer. It was familiar. It was…Yui.
He tried to respond, to say her name, but his voice wouldn't come out. His throat felt dry, and his body too weak to move. Then, slowly, his sight returned. At first, everything was too bright, and his eyes were hit by an overwhelming whiteness that made him shut them again.
After a moment, he tried once more. This time, he could see. He was in a vast, empty space, white in every direction. There were no walls, no ceiling, no floor—just endless white stretching into infinity.
