Looking at her from the rear mirror, Dave could not help but exclaim how beautiful she looks. Deborah flashed him her smile. She was flattered but she does not want him to know.
She stole a glance at him and commented in her heart how handsome and rich he was. She felt lucky and prayed things does work out between them. Just as she was about to peek at him again, their eyes locked. She swallowed hard and quickly lowered her gaze. Something in his looks told her he just wanted her body and she felt bad. Her heart was bitter.
" Why can't true love exist" she murmured
" What did you say," Dave asked
" Never mind," Deborah said looking outside the window.
Dave noticed the change in her countenance but couldn't place his hands on what made her unhappy.
" If you don't tell me what's troubling you then I would never know," Dave commented.
" it's nothing. Seriously" Deborah said flashing him a smile.
"Okay if you say so," Dave said taking another turn.
Deborah was tense, they have been driving for an hour and she was wondering where he was taking her to.
" Where are we going, Dave?" Deborah asked. This was the first time she called his name and she couldn't help but wonder how sweet his name sounded. Even Dave noticed it and liked the sound of his name on her lips.
" Somewhere special," He said smiling.
Deborah kept quiet. She was no longer excited as she felt before setting out for this journey. She now feels like a lamb taken to a sacrificial altar.
After what seemed like an eternity, they stopped on a beach site. Deborah gave Dave a knowing look. Dave smiled
"I know you to be like, ' who takes a woman on her first date to a beach. Well, this is Dave Benson and I am known for doing things out of the box." Dave said with a bright smile.
Deborah was speechless. " Is he always like this or he is being a talker because he likes me?" Deborah asked herself. She shook her head as if to shake off the thought of him liking her. But she was still happy that they came to the beach. Before Dave could come open the door for her, she was already out and inhaling the fresh air from the sea. It felt so refreshing and natural. Dave watched how free she was and was more attracted to her that when Deborah closed her eyes, he stole a kiss.
"Ahh, you lousy asshole" Deborah exclaimed smacking his hand
" Geez, why are you so fierce? Was it your first kiss? " Dave asked
" In your dreams. I already had a boyfriend." Deborah said crossing her hands over her blossom, faking her anger.
" That means I came late," Dave said slightly upset.
" let's go and get our ticket. I will like us to sail." Dave said pulling her towards the entrance.
" Please, can we have a boat and safety jackets," Dave asked the attendant.
" Sure"
They were given a boat and jacket. Soon they were sailing. There is joy when you are with someone who is not afraid.
Deborah watched Dave from his side profile and warmth filled her heart.
"Only if he will be mine forever" Deborah murmured.
" Hey beautiful, what's going on in that mind of yours," Dave asked inching close to her.
He likes the way she smelt. Like fresh rain and booming flowers at dawn. He noticed that when he kissed her. And now he is inhaling her again.
" Move away from me you scorning brat" Deborah hits his rigid chest.
" Ahh, so hard" Deborah exclaimed as her hands hurt a bit.
" So hard and hurt. Do you want to see it?" Dave asked grinning.
" Get away from me you naughty beast," Deborah said this time hitting him lightly and moving away from his imposing figure.
" She is resisting my charms. Playing hard to get. I like her" Dave said to himself.
They were on a boat all afternoon before going to eat dinner. Deborah was so excited that she couldn't hide t.
" Thank you for bringing me out here. It was so much fun" she commented.
" if you want to thank me then let's go out again some other time," Dave asked
Deborah thought for a while before accepting.
" Then our second date is official then," Dave said with a smile.
