Instead of responding to his father, Mason asked, "Is there a way I can get my powers back without hurting her?"
"You should not have hurt her in the first place, but your desperate need to keep her will only make things difficult," Augustine sighed, after noticing the worry flash through his eyes.
Augustine knew the reason why Ariana suddenly collapsed. He had already cautioned him against being a fool and bringing her here, though. But he nevertheless caged her because it seemed right.
Mason's eyes darkened at his father's comment and he got up to walk away.
"There is no way she is going back. Ariana is mine, and she will always be mine!" he exclaimed, shocking Augustine as he did so, and he left the room.
Augustine mocked his son's insanity, which was beginning to bother him, but she eventually let out a defeated sigh and went to check on Zeus in his room.
