"What do you mean by she didn't come?" Julianna asked after Drake disclosed Ariana's refusal to return with them.
Lucian did not say anything at all because his memory could not let go of the blank look Ariana gave him. It seemed as though she had lost recognition for him, and if she had, all she had done was hate him.
"She is being spelled." Arthur and Andreas walked towards them. Despite their emotionless expression, they were there, assessing the seriousness of the situation.
Julianna looked at her father from the side as he stood next to Andreas. She saw a flicker of emotion in his eyes as soon as he turned to face her, but he quickly covered it up and looked forward.
