When the class finally ended and Ariana and Julianna were about to head for the canteen, Griffin abruptly stopped in front of them.
Julianna scowled at his impoliteness, but he disregarded her gesture and turned to face Ariana, asking, "Can we talk, alone?" He said the word by itself on purpose to make sure Julianna would comprehend, but she refused.
"No, she won't go with you anywhere!" Knowing that Griffin had deceived Ariana in the past, nearly endangering their lives, Julianna was no longer able to trust him.
"Please," he uttered while fixating on Ariana, disregarding Julianna's words.
But Julianna, fed up with his constant nagging, turned to face Ariana and said, "Ari, you do not have to listen to him." She wanted to protect her friend at all costs, no matter what Griffin intended to do this time.
