Julianna went into her room, made sure the door was securely locked, and quickly called Ariana.
Now that she was in her room and out of Silveira's suspicious gaze, she decided to give her the call she had texted her to tell her to wait for her to call back.
Ariana answered her phone right away, and her first question was, "Is she okay?"
Despite Julianna's shock upon hearing her words, they managed to calm her down.
"I am sorry, Ari. She apologized for not returning her friend's call after so many days. "I could not answer your call earlier," she said.
Julianna has been forbidden by Lucian from communicating with her since she was abducted. She did not like how he prevented anyone from meeting her back then, but she changed her mind—until today—after Drake told her the truth.
Julianna was not prepared for Ariana to call her out of the blue, but since they were conversing, she could not help but ask how she was doing.
