Staring at her for a moment, he gave her a nod.
"No doubt she looked like she had seen a ghost" she mumbled to herself.
Drake who heard her whisper, frowned.
"Did she do anything to you?" he asked.
Looking back at him, surprised, Julianna slowly shook her head.
A sense of relief passed through his face. "Come take a seat," he said motioning towards the chair in front of his desk.
Giving him a nod, Julianna silently followed his words and pulled the chair for herself before taking a seat.
Drake too did the same and sat on the chair next to her. He could see the curiosity lingering in her eyes. But what surprised him was how confidently she raised those words without any hesitation.
While they kept looking at each other waiting for any of them to speak, Julianna broke the silence and asked," Did you do something-"
"I just warned her" came his quick words before she could assume anything wrong about him.
