Frantically wiping off his tears, Lucian widened his eyes in shock. Ariana's consciousness returned and the very next second, he cupped her face in his palms and slammed his lips on hers.
The kiss wasn't long but the sense of her breathing made Lucian return to life.
"I thought... I lost you" he mumbled against her lips.
The emptiness in his eyes washed away now replacing with happiness as he showered her with kisses all over her face.
Ariana lay under him confused. She was too tired to react, but watching him smile while he kept pestering her face with kisses, gave her a sense of relief.
"So, was it a dream" she mumbled making Lucian stop his actions and he pushed himself back.
It was then her words struck his mind and his entire body stilled for a moment.
Lucian was so engrossed in his thoughts that he failed to notice the doubt lurking in her eyes.
