Ariana stood still when Lucian suddenly captured her lips for a kiss. She couldn't fathom her thoughts as her mind froze.
It was too sudden for her to react or sense anything, but one thing that she could feel through his kiss was longing and fear.
She could understand the longing as she too yearned to kiss him, feel his touch on her, engulf the warmth of his embrace, but Fear... this was something unexpected.
And it happens only when his insecurities try to bring the worst out of him.
Blinking her eyes Ariana slowly withdrew from her frozen state and slowly wrapped her arms around his neck.
She kissed him back, closing her eyes.
Ariana wanted to make him feel at ease and let him know through her actions that his fears were invalid and that she would never leave him.
All she wanted was some time. Once she graduated, she would gladly announce their relationship.
'It was best for them' she thought.
