Left breathless, Ariana tried catching her breath with her forehead resting on Lucian's.
She had her eyes closed as she calmed herself. The kiss was so passionate that they forgot the count of time.
Still, amid her composure, she felt Lucian's figure tucking the strand of her hair behind her ear gently and he asked.
"Was that guy also studying with you?" Lucian's voice paused her for a few seconds and she slowly opened her eyes.
Pulling back she observed her facial expression. The calm aura around him wasn't a good sign because she knew he was trying to mask his displeasure behind it.
"No, Griffin wasn't studying with us. We stumble upon him while leaving" she answered truthfully and watched the darkness in his eyes waver.
Lucian already knew the answer because Sasha had informed him about Ariana's whereabouts. He knew the girls went to a coffee shop before they headed towards the college library.
