Silence engulfed the trio. While Griffin was busy sipping the water from his glass, Lucian kept on staring at him with a deadpan face.
Ariana on the other hand kept glancing awkwardly between the two. She could already feel the tension between the two as Griffin kept taking glances at Lucian as if he was hinting to him that even he has his eyes on him, so let the game begin.
A few seconds passed and finally, Lucian broke the tranquility between them.
"So, Griffin what are you here for?" Lucian asked coming straight to the point. He didn't bother using honorifics as he always did.
When he called him by his name, it was clear that he wasn't happy with him being there. Yet for Ariana, he was keeping his cool.
Stopping midway, Griffin pulled away the glass and placed it back on the table before looking back at Lucian.
