"No, no, no... Ariana, what are you even thinking? These are all myths and stories written for creating hype in the reader's mind. None of them had ever been true" Scoffing off her wondering thoughts, she quickly slammed the book close.
But even after scolding herself, she couldn't erase the scene from her mind. She clearly remembered seeing the wound on Lucian's torso but when she saw it again it wasn't there.
"Oh.. god... I think I am going crazy" she sneered picking up the book and placing it back on the shelf.
It had been a tiring day for her. Not only did she help Lucian to tame his monster but also ended up studying for too long and now her mind needed rest... a good rest.
With this thought, she walked back to the bed and lay down and this time she closed her eyes shut, trying hard to fall asleep.
After taking a long nap with Lucian, Ariana found it hard to fall asleep.
