"Release Ivy right now!" Damian's voice reverberated with authority as he conjured another water ball, his hand shimmering with power.
"I knew you both useless things would not be able to complete a simple task," sneered the unknown man, holding Ivy tightly in his arms while looking down at his defeated subordinates.
"Boss, we let our guard down," groaned the two injured men.
"Let's get straight to the point. I will return this child if you break your bond with the mana beast and hand it over," the unknown man demanded.
Mana beast? How did he know about it? Damian and Kaelen shared the same thought, their expressions filled with surprise.
"We don't have any mana beast. You've caught the wrong person," Ivy protested, wriggling in an attempt to free herself.
"Fine, I'll give you the mana beast, but let her go," Damian proposed, causing Ivy to gasp in shock.
"Hand over the beast first, then I'll release the girl," the unknown man countered.
