The two of them walked around the garden silently.
Each time they stepped forward, the light would light up, turning the garden brighter. The sounds of gurgling water could be heard from ahead.
Feeling as if she was being observed, Ye Qing Xin would glance at her grandfather. However, each time that she looked over, she would find her grandfather looking somewhere else.
Her brow furrowed. Ye Qing Xin was wondering if everything was her imagination. Then, her grandfather stopped on his track.
She turned and saw that her grandfather was looking at her. Their gazes locked, causing her heart to skip a beat. Her grandfather's stare was too deep that she felt as if he could look deep into her soul.
"Xin Xin."
Ye Qing Xin snapped out of her trance. She forced herself to compose herself quickly and spoke, "Yes? Grandpa, what's wrong? Why are you stopping suddenly?"
