Chapter 19 - Chapter 19:It's Weekend

Olivia had sought occasion to begged Fred for her reaction towards the gift earlier, and Fred had finally forgiven Olivia. They were now in good terms back again with one another.

It was weekend, Olivia and her grandma left their Fred's home back to their house for the weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, Fred came over to visit Olivia and she was outside watering their garden when Fred came knocking at the door.

"Yes who's that?" asked grandma from inside the kitchen

"It's me, Fred." replied Fred at the door

"Fred?" asked grandma gently

"Yes ma'am." he said politely

Grandma was puzzled to see Fred at their house

"You mean Fred Smith?" she asked again moving over to the sitting room door

"Yes ma'am." he said gently

Grandma was surprised it was the same Fred Smith, her madam son visiting them at their house. She gently opened the door and said "Afternoon my dear. Hope there's no problem?" she asked immediately

"Not at all! Good afternoon ma. I came to check on Olivia." he said bowing his head forward politely

"Okay dear." sighed grandma " You come inside please!" said grandma cheerfully, she opened the door wide for him to entered inside

After some minutes, Grandma had directed Fred to the backyard to check for Olivia there.

Olivia was at the garden watering the plants and suddenly she remembered something. She thought to herself inwardly

"I've missed Fred." said Olivia holding a flower and she was playing with it playfully. She continued again "I've missed his jokes, funny play." she said smiling at herself. "I can't wait to see him again." she turned and continued with her work happily. Fred went to meet Olivia at the garden, Olivia was shocked to see him at her house face to face and at the same time she was happy.

"Am I dreaming?" Olivia thought to herself at the sight of Fred presence in the garden

"Ta-da!" shouted Fred happily and he ran over her

"Fred!" Olivia was amazed suddenly

"Olly." replied Fred smiling and hugged her immediately

"I'm surprised to see you, and you didn't tell me you'd be coming here." said Olivia looking intently at Fred face

"It's a surprise." he said grinning

"Surprised indeed!" she said smiled

"What're you doing?" he said looking at the Jerry can she was carrying with her

"I just finished watering the garden." replied Olivia softly

"Are you free now?" he asked cheerfully

"Yes and where are you going? asked Olivia suspiciously

"We're going out!" he declared joyfully

"Really?" she was thrilled

"Yes, where do you have in mind?" he added again

"I don't think I've anything in mind." she said gently

"Okay, let's go to the mall." said Fred suddenly

"Really?" she was excited at the mention of the mall, Olivia hasn't been there before, she only heard of it from Peter

"Yes." replied Fred cheerfully

"Let's us go inside Fred. Give me five minutes to change and also to tell grandma about the outing." said Olivia gently

"Okay no problem." he replied calmly

They both entered inside the house together. Olivia told her grandma about their outing. And grandma said to Olivia

"Do not stay there for too long Olivia," warned grandma gently

"Okay granny. I won't be long." Olivia and Fred left the house and they were in the taxi chatting happily

"Your grandma is nice," said Fred suddenly

"Really?" asked Olivia surprised

"I just like her though, and she is the reason why I adore my grandparents too." said Fred proudly

"Really?" Olivia was pleased to hear that from him

"Yes before I don't like my grandparents I don't like us going there because of the village things. But now I do, most especially since the time, you and your grandma have came to stayed during the days. I've learnt a lot from you guys!" he said happily

Olivia was surprised to hear the long talk from Fred "He has really changed ever since they had been staying in their house during the few days." Olivia thought to herself. I had begin to like him too and i thought I could never fall for him." Olivia smiled inwardly and said to him

"I am happy to hear that Fred!" Olivia chuckled and sighted a game afar off. "Whoa see those games." shouted Olivia suddenly after arriving at the mall

"Okay let's go and play it." replied Fred cheerfully

They got to the games center and Fred checked the different games they have there. Olivia pointed at a particular game and they both played it together

They had both played different games for some minutes and Fred had purposely allowed Olivia to win the game. Olivia was happy, she won the games countless times and suddenly she realized she was feeling thirsty "I'm thirsty Fred." said Olivia suddenly

"Let's go get a drink." he said and hold her hands firmly.

They were sitting together having their drinks before Fred broke the silence

"Olivia!" he said gently

"Yes Fred." replied Olivia

"I've something to tell you." he said gently

"Okay."she replied looking at him suspiciously

"I love you Olivia." he said suddenly

Olivia was cut off suddenly, she didn't expected Fred to say that to her now, she didn't know what to say to him.

"I know you might be wondering if i was joking or for real." he added again immediately and he touched her hands affectionately

"I truly love you Olly, I don't know if you have the same feeling, I have towards you!" he said passionately to her and dropped her hands finally

"Okay Fred." she mumbled to say finally

"I don't understand you?" he asked quickly

"I can't give you any answer now." she struggle to say

"Okay I'll wait for your reply." he said gently

"Okay!" she said uncomfortably

"Yes Olivia. I would like you to think about it well, am not forcing you to be my girlfriend. I just wanted you to know how I feel towards you." he said curtly

"I know." she mumbled and remembered all of a sudden "What about Cecilia? I thought she likes you too Fred." asked Olivia, she wanted to know his true intention about his relationship with Cecelia. She knew Fred has changed from his bad behavior but she wanted to be sure if Fred likes Cecelia too or something was between them which he hasn't tell her yet.
