After Daniel returned to his unit, he sat down at his desk and began reviewing the options he had seen for commercial spaces in the building. He had been pleased with the choices available to him, but for some reason, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was missing something important.
Despite having already done his due diligence and researched his options online, he found himself searching again, hoping to come across something that he had missed before. As he scrolled through page after page of listings, he found that none of the options seemed to match the quality of the ones he had seen in the building. It was frustrating, and he couldn't help but feel like he was wasting his time. He decided to put the search on hold for the moment and finish the rest of his remaining daily missions.
After completing the last of his daily missions, Daniel decided to take a break and headed to the penthouse's jacuzzi to unwind. The warm water eased his tension, and he allowed himself to relax for a moment.
As he closed his eyes, he felt his body and mind begin to relax. Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes and gazed out at the stunning view from the penthouse. The night sky was filled with stars, and the city lights illuminated the buildings below. The serene atmosphere helped clear his mind, and he began to ponder what was bothering him earlier.
It suddenly occurred to him that perhaps the issue wasn't with the specific locations or aspects of the available commercial spaces. As a creative, he was building a team of artists and creatives first, before even building a business. For them, creativity was the foundation to build the business itself. So maybe the perfect place wasn't necessarily a space that was already built and designed, but rather a space that they could make their own.
The idea of building their own office with their own design and preferences started to take shape in his mind. He could imagine his team working in an environment that reflected their personalities and creativity, and that was a place they could truly call their own. The thought was both exciting and daunting, but Daniel knew it was worth exploring further.
As he continued to soak in the jacuzzi, he started to brainstorm with himself ideas and possibilities for their future office space. Daniel then took his phone and started to browse for empty spaces for lease or sale that is open to be renovated. As Daniel continued to browse through various listings for commercial spaces, he couldn't help but feel excited at the prospect of building a space from scratch that will reflect his team's creativity and personality.
But suddenly, Daniel was pleasantly interrupted by a notification inside his head.
*Ding!*
The robotic voice of Sampaguita filled his mind. "First mission: Take care of yourself, completed," Sampaguita announced. "System is checking host's improvement in wellbeing. Please wait a moment."
Curious about the potential rewards, Daniel leaned back in the jacuzzi, eagerly awaiting what the system would offer him this time. "Detected that host went above and beyond the minimum requirements," Sampaguita continued. "Determining additional rewards. Please wait a little longer."
Daniel couldn't help but smile at the news. He had put in a lot of effort to improve himself both physically, emotionally, and mentally, and the fact that the system had recognized his progress and determined that he had exceeded the minimum requirements was a great source of motivation for him. It made him even more determined to continue on his journey of self-improvement, even if it was no longer a mission.
Just a few seconds later, Sampaguita's robotic voice interrupted Daniel's thoughts once again.
*Ding!*
"Congratulations, host, for completing the first mission," she announced. "The system has finished calculating your rewards."
Daniel leaned forward in anticipation, eager to hear what he had earned.
"Host is rewarded with the following: A hefty sum of Php. 50,000,000, which will be deposited to your existing BDO account in a few seconds, and 150 Overcome points.
Additionally, the host will receive a bonus reward for going above the minimum requirements." Sampaguita continued. "For the bonus, the host is rewarded with floors 43, 44, and 45 of the Orean Place Building at Vertis North - Alveo Land, the three floors below your penthouse unit, and the host can use the floors however you want. The system will handle the cost of renovations, manpower, and equipment. You are only required to meet with the head engineer to provide general instructions. The time to finish renovations will depend on your requirements, but the system will make sure it is as fast as humanly possible."
Just as Daniel is relishing the thought of his rewards, yet another notification sounded in his head.
*Ding!*
"Now that you have completed the first mission, other features of the system are now unlocked. The status panel is now available for you to use. It serves as the interface for you to view your information, stats, and skills obtained from the system, and overcome point balance. Additionally, the system shop is now open. This is where you can purchase a variety of items, skills, and stat upgrades using the overcome points that you earned from missions." Sampaguita's voice said.
Daniel became excited about the new features. He was about to check what the new features of the system can do, but suddenly his phone rang, interrupting his thoughts. Daniel answered the call and was surprised to hear the voice of Mr. Enrique Santos, the general manager of the building on the other end.
"Mr. Abelardo, congratulations! I just received news that you purchased three floors of the building," Mr. Santos said with excitement. "I have also been informed that your renovation team will arrive tomorrow to start working on the 3 floors. Don't worry, Mr. Abelardo, I will personally make sure they are properly and promptly accommodated. Don't worry about the permits and paperwork. I will take care of them personally."
Daniel couldn't help but feel amazed at how quickly everything was happening. He chuckled to himself in disbelief and thanked Mr. Santos for his help. "Thank you so much, Mr. Santos. I really appreciate all of your assistance," Daniel said gratefully.
"It's my pleasure, Mr. Abelardo. You are the number one client of the condominium, after all. I'm looking forward to seeing the transformation of your new floors," Mr. Santos replied warmly.
Daniel ended the call feeling grateful and excited for what was to come.
