Chapter-97: Fighting Alone.
There was no one in the office and all other officers were standing on the doorstep and watching James. He was looking around and there was no one in the office, all officers were missing. In the morning time, there were four officers and now there is only one officer and he was none other than James. Jane was also looking around and all the chairs were empty and files were opened on the desk… she can see the empty cabin of their chief and James fell down on the chair which was in the middle of the office and put his hand on the table.
Jane saw the board and pictures of their team members on the table. She took all the pictures except one and pasted it on the board.
"People who used to save us… now their life is in danger."
James was sitting on the chair and it was like he lost all his hopes because he did not find anything and he also wanted to know why Harvey left him alone.
"Ahh!! My head is going to explode." [Releasing long breath]
He closed his eyes and lifted his head. He was thinking about the time when all his officers were there in the office and he also remembered the beautiful moments with his officers.
Jane was feeling very bad about James and she asked him what he was going to do next to save his officers and Chief but James had no answer. He moved his head left and right.
"I had nothing to say."
An officer came there and he was having a disc in his hand and he gave it to James but James was sitting on the chair and he was not moving from there. … Jane took that disc.
"Thank you, sir." [All officers looking at James]
Jane checked the disc and saw James' name was written on the cover. She thought that she should play it and she played it. [Angry groaning sound]
James opened his eyes and turned his head towards the screen and he saw that his team members were tied up and GK was also there. They all were groaning due to pain and they all were torched by Harvey. [Fast breathing] James was looking at the screen and due to anger, he was crushing his teeth and he was feeling bad for his team members. Jane was surprised and she quickly took out that disc and closed all systems. [Fast breathing]
"What kind of man is he? Rascal."
She was also very angry but she couldn't do anything… only she can get angry with them, nothing else she can do.
[Phone ringing] It was none other than Harvey.
"Did you like the footage? I think you do. I knew what you felt when you saw your helpless and weak officers tied up on the chair and screaming due to pain. Should I give them relief from the pain? Tell me."
James was silent listening to him and Harvey was waiting for the reply. James had no answer to what to say but he found the answer. [Waiting for reply]
"Harvey… let's end this chapter. Tell me where you are and I will come over there. One of us is going to live and the other will die… what do you say?"
Harvey likes the guts.
"Hmm. I like your spirit but it is not possible… but I can give you a chance if you want to save your… officers!! Should I tell you?"
… All officers were listening to the conversation between them and James said yes to him and Harvey laughed loudly.
"Ok!! Come out and stand on the roadside."
He cut the call and he turned his head towards Jane, he knew that if he went out then she would be alone and he can do anything with her in his absence. He needs to find a way through which he can protect her from all the problems. … He ordered all officers to cover their building from all directions and he also told everyone to stay close to their family members because Harvey can do anything. [James was roaming around] He was roaming around and he was searching for something on his phone and he found it. All officers went back to their place and there were only two people in the office. He made a call to someone.
"Hello!! It's me. Codename Eagle. Subject… protection. Object name Jane. My phone is with her."
After saying this much, he cut the call and handed his phone to her and asked her to take seat.
After thirty minutes.
Jane was thinking about the call and wanted to know with whom he was talking and why he said her name. [Foot step sound] Carson came there and James told him to take her out. … Carson moved his head and requested Jane to come alone with him. She was surprised and asked James where he was going to take her but James told him to go along with him… she is in safe hands.
On the gate.
Jane- "what about you?"
James- "don't worry. Go!!"
Carson took her from there and Jane was carrying James' phone in her hand and Carson took her from there.
James was standing there and he saw his left hand… It was wrapped by bandages and he twisted it and walked from there. All other officers were looking at him from behind and through security cameras Harry was following him. He starts the plan and tells Harvey that he is out of his building.
James was walking on the road and cars were moving on the road. Horn sound was coming from different cars and he was walking in the crowd. Where is he going, he does not know? and what he is going to do? He does not know what to do and how he is going to contact him. After some time, he got tired and looked around, he found a bench and he sat on it. [Looking around] After some time, a man came and sat on his side, talking to someone.
"Oh!! So, you are coming here to take me. Ok."
James did not notice that man and a weird kind of smell was coming from that man's body and that man went from there.
Meanwhile, a big car came and the door of that car slide aside. … James wondered why that car came there and for whom they had opened the door. Suddenly, he remembered the man who was sitting next to him and he was talking to someone on the phone.
"OH!!"
He stood from his seat and sat inside the car. Door gets closed and takes him from there. He was sitting alone and all the doors were locked. [Gas releasing sound] In a few seconds, the backside of the car filled with sleeping gas and James fell down on the seat.
Carson stops his car and asks Jane to step out. He told her that James told him to leave her over there and from here his people will come and take her to the safe place. She stepped out of the car and stood on the roadside. Many cars were moving on the road and she was looking left and right. After some time, some black cars came and some people stepped out from the cars. Some of them were females and one of them, name was June and she came in front of Jane and asked for a phone. She gave it to her and she checked it.
… "Come with me."
Jane was surprised and she slowly step up towards the car and went from there with them.
Sun was setting down and James moved his body. Slowly, he opened his eyes and woke up… he was feeling lazy and his head was feeling heavy.
"Ah!!"
He looks around and tries to figure out where he is? He was moving his head from left to right and slowly stood up on his feet and he found himself in a forest.
"Where the hell am I? Ah!! My head."
He was dragging his feet and checking the place where he was and he checked his clothes and he felt something in his pocket. [Checking] He took out a piece of paper and he read it.
"Just follow the marks!!"
The writing seems to be very bad. He looked around to find the mark in the forest and he found a cut mark on the tree.
He stood in front of that tree and there was an arrow mark on it. He followed the mark and walked around that forest. He was following those marks and the sun set down and there was only darkness in the forest. He found a bag hanging on the branch of a tree and he opened it. He found a torch inside it and took it along with him. [Moving that torch around] He was trying to find another arrow on the tree and he found the tree. He again followed the marks that night and he saw a small house made up of wood. [Lights were hanging outside]
"Strange… in this forest what is the use of that house?"
He thought that he followed the marks and he reached over there.
