Chapter-23: A surprise.
When James came into his office, he was stopped by GK. He was already there in the office. James used to pick him up but every day, he came early because he wanted to know his plan so that they could catch them.
James- "So, our team is ready."
GK- "I can see that."
All his officers were standing straight and waiting for his command. He said his plan and told them that they will make a small group and go to those private clinics and try to find something which can help them to solve this case.
They all make a group of two officers but Summer refuses to join the group. That was surprising. She always used to look at James like she saw something in his face. She was looking at his question which was written on his face.
"Sir…"
"Yes, Summer."
She thought that she could help him in the case. They both will go out in search of Peter.
"Sir… can I help your case?"
GK smiled at her and told her to stay with the group. He was still smiling and went inside of the cabin.
All officers were roaming around the city and they were checking each and every clinic. In every clinic, they used to say only one line and that was they were searching an eye and they could give a huge amount for that. While talking to them, they have to stay alert so that no one knows about them. They use to wear other simple dresses and talk to them in a proper manner.
Time was running away and James was contacting Bobby. He wants his help to find that man but Bobby was trying his best to find Peter but he couldn't, it was like he disappeared somewhere in the city. … James was beating his phone on his head because there is no clue. GK was contacting all police stations and told them that if they found any missing complaint then they should inform them.
Meanwhile, GK had a call, he thought that it was about a missing complaint but it was not. A patrolling unit had called him and told about the vans and cars. GK was surprised to hear that and he cut that call. He quickly came in front of James.
… "Patrolling officer called me and they told me that they had found those cars and vans."
"That means, he is clearing all his evidence."
They both went to that place, where patrolling officers saw those vans and cars.
They wear their gloves and check those vans and cars but they did not find anything from those cars and vans but while checking those cars, another call came. It was Tim, he wanted to tell him about the car which he had found. While talking to him, GK was surprised when he heard that he found something. …
"What happened GK?"
"Tim had found something."
They quickly went to that place where he found that car.
"Yes Tim, what have you found?"
He points his finger and they open the door. They saw a red tape which was big in size and some pieces were cut out from that tape. … GK took that tape and tried to understand what it was. He was looking at those cuts, it was like some alphabets of English.
"What is this?"
James took that paper and car in the forensic garage and over there, they all were trying to understand what is that. Both the doctors were checking the car and James was sitting on the side and the rest were running their brain to find what it was. James was thinking about those cutting alphabets. Many alphabets were roaming in his brain and he was erasing all those alphabets which are not similar to those cuts.
[After sometime]
James was understanding something from those cuts and he stood from his seat.
"Wait."
He spread those cuts all over and shuffled them. He was trying to make words. One by one GK had written all the words in the notebook and he wrote many words.
… "Hmm. So, James, what do you think?"
He was standing straight and hitting his first finger on the car. His eyes were looking at the notebook and those cuts.
Red color tape, many words written on a notebook, they all were running their brain very fast and James was trying his best to understand the clue. … Suddenly, both his eyes got stretched, like he understood. "Yes."
He had made all the words but he forgot one word. He made a call and talked to Carson. He wanted to ask him about the big vans and Carson told him that he had sold some vehicles. … He cut the call and started laughing because he had found the clue. GK asked him what happened to him?
He took a pen and notebook. He wrote something. They all get shocked. … "Ambulance."
But how did he know about this? James smiled at them and told them that Carson had sold some big size vehicles. According to the list, they found all cars except those vehicles. They also found those red tape and cut outs of English alphabets.
Finally, James had found that the vehicle which they are using for transportation is none other than an ambulance. But GK had a question and that question was why. Why did they choose an ambulance only? … "Because no one is going to stop or check an ambulance."
They had done their best to save their drugs from everyone but they left evidence in the car.
At night.
All the officers came back with good news. They entered inside with an unknown guest. Connor pushes him in front of James and he falls down on his knees.
"Sir… we found this man. He used to do this type of illegal work and when we searched around his clinic, we found this."
He gave him an evidence clear bag and there was a thread. … While looking at that thread, James told William to send that evidence to the forensic lab and take him to the jail and write a complaint against him.
He also told them that they will try this trick again. He does not want to lose them at any cost.
"Ok sir."
Before everyone went back to their home that time, Amanda came there and she had a file and information about that thread.
"James, I want to tell you something."
They all stood in front of her and she told them about the thread which they had sent to the forensic lab.
"Officers, that thread is just a normal thread but it was thick. No one is going to use this type of thread for surgery. It means they don't know about surgery."
GK was making weird faces. He does not know what is going on and now what is going to happen next. James thought that the next day, this trick would not work. Meanwhile, Summer asked a question. "Should we send this report to the headquarters?"
… For a few seconds, James gets silent but he had a smile on his face and said yes to them. Officers make a report and send it to the headquarters but this time, James made a report and he wrote everything to that file.
From headquarters, Harry found that James knew about the ambulance, the mask, X2 drug, organ trafficking. This report shook him from inside. That time he fired up and in anger he threw his mask on the side.
"Damn!! He is bloody good."
He quickly took out his phone and sent a message to Francisco and Evan. When Evan saw that image, he slowly stood from his seat due to shock.
He looked around; his brother was not there.
[Cutting sound]
He went towards the sound and he saw his brother Francisco. That time he was cutting a chicken in small pieces. That time, Evan stood behind him. … Francisco slowly turns his head back and removes earbuds from his ears.
"What?"
"Brother, this officer is a headache to us. He knew everything."
He sent that file to him which was given to him by Harry's man.
He saw that file and laughed. Evan was wondering and trying to understand why he was laughing so loudly. He sat down again and continued his work which he was doing but this time, he was moving his knife badly. … He stands from his seat with cut pieces. Went outside. He cleaned those pieces and prepared them for cooking.
"Brother what are you doing? Be serious. We have to complete our new order."
But Francisco did not want to talk to him that time, he was looking at those chicken pieces which he had placed over the fire. He was looking at those pieces… he can see those waters coming out from those pieces. Evan was still there and he was looking at him. When those chicken pieces got cooked, he took one piece and placed it on the plate.
[Smelling]
"Nice smell brother."
He called him in front of the table and cut that piece. He offered his first piece to Evan.
[Eating]
"Brother Evan… where is Peter… I have a big surprise for James."
