"What are you asking about?"
He was not acting. He really didn't have any idea what he was asking even though he got Henry's memory.
"That day at the banquet! I saw you sneaking into their room. You must have heard everything right? It must be something important, that's why they tried to kill you!"
His father had a creepy laugh. He looked like he would swallow Henry at any time.
"I am going out, sir."
Arthur, who was still there, finally left, leaving Henry alone with the duke. He escaped there while Henry was stuck with that mad man.
"You knew they would kill me, but you didn't help me. Now I have recovered, you keep asking me questions. Am I right?"
Henry glared at his father and asked coldly.
"No, it was just my guess."
He seemed very confident, but Henry still suspected that he just let his son get kidnapped. But later he got curious and came back to search for him to ask about the details.
'What a selfish guy!'
Henry tried to recall what the duke was asking.
The banquet was held for duke Colontria's daughter's birthday. He had invited many noble families to join this banquet.
That day, Henry happened to see the duke of the Siloksan City. The city, Bryxton, where Henry's father ruled as the duke, had a huge grudge against them. It was a long story and still, that hatred passed through the generations. Overhearing their conversation was of course meaningful for enemies.
So Henry sneaked into the hall where the Siloksan city duke was. And he overheard their business plans. The reason Henry was so interested in it was that he was gonna be the next duke. So it would be a great help when he became the duke.
After he came out, he didn't expect to get kidnapped by some mere thieves. Henry's father suspected it was planned by Silkosans. So he paid special attention to Henry in order to find out what he heard.
"They didn't talk about anything important. They just said duke Colontria's daughter is very pretty and it was really good to see someone that pretty."

The duke didn't seem to be satisfied. He thought Henry was lying.
"Really? Don't lie. Tell me everything."
Henry was annoyed. So he made up some lies to tell him.
Finally, he trusted him because he had no other choice.
After that, he just said all right and left.
"Huh! I knew he came here just to know that. What a father!"
He mumbled to himself and laid in bed. It was a big room. The bigger it was, the more lonely it felt for him.
As he rested a little more, he heard the door opening sound.
He didn't want to see that face of the duke again. He was afraid he might end up punching that so-called shitty father out of anger.
"Henry? Are you awake? I am coming in!"
Henry turned his eyes to the door and waited for the guest to show up. Thankfully, it was not that duke.
It was a girl. She was dressed in a luxurious gown and her hair had been styled perfectly. And most importantly, her hair was not a normal colour. It looked like the colour of pure gold.
At first, he thought her hair looked blonde. But later he realised this looked more shining and stunning. The only thing that came to his mind was pure gold.
As she walked in, she looked very elegant and lovable. When she raised her head and looked at Henry, he was stunned for a moment.
She had blue eyes. He had never seen eyes with such a beautiful blue colour. It was his first time seeing such a beautiful thing. They looked a lot similar to the colour of the evening sky. They were very bright and pretty as if they bewitched him.
About her eyes, what he thought was they looked like diamonds.
He kept watching her for a few minutes because he couldn't take his eyes off her. She was beautiful. A rare beauty!
But does it matter? No! Because that was the illegitimate child, Henry had been trying to kill all the time.
Of course, this little guy Henry must have got jealous seeing her. Even Henry felt envious of her beauty.

Henry watched her walking closer and putting down the flowers on the table she brought.

After she left, Henry sighed and laid down again feeling drowsy.
On the other side, the girl closed the door but didn't leave. She leaned her back on the door.
Her eyebrows frowned as she looked like she had found something surprising.
'Why was he so silent? As if he had changed into a different person.'
She looked back at the door and then left while her face showed confusion.
Henry didn't have any idea that the original owner used to be very arrogant and troublesome whenever he saw Ricarda. Even if he was on the death edge, he would still curse Ricarda.
That was Henry.
She suspected there was something wrong with him because he did nothing.
