DEBBY CHOSE THE BLACK BIG AND FANCY TRUCK TO PUT ALL the things I asked her, and she did well since it's my favorite truck from all the ones I have. It's the safest to travel with things like the ones I'm taking with me, and the most comfortable too, since I was the one who was going to drive it, which wasn't a problem because I have the special driver's license for it.
Flower and Chase, the lovebirds, came about an hour before we were set to go, as we combined, so they helped me get my black Mercedes-Benz Class G (in which the kids presents were) and my black Harley inside it, as well as my ice-skating gear. And when they noticed there was space in the truck, they also put their heavy bags in it, and took the sweets I asked Lily to prepare for the kids, in their car.
I had also brought a present for my parents and one for each of my siblings, as well of a fancy high-heel and a clutch for each of my sisters-in-law, and a black fancy watch for my brother-in-law, just to not come empty-handed. Although I was indeed especially thoughtful while choosing Dean's, and ended up opting for five new games that came out for the PlayStation 5, since I know he loves playing, and I'm also gonna give him a prototype of a new digital eyeglass that works similarly to Tony Stark's Judith.
And of course, I also bought my grandparents presents very carefully, three for each of them, mainly alcohol and books, since that's what they love the most to get as a present.
Leopold also got the three expensive bottles of whiskey very fast, and I put it in my favorite Christmas black package. And I was bold when I decided to also give the CEO one more present, a prototype of Dove, the AI that I created, since to me it's way more affective than the other ones around the market. Plus, it's exclusive for now. My family's jaw is gonna drop when they see my presents.
They can't beat me on it.
I don't want anything with the guy, but I'll give him those so I can embarrass my family. Everything I do has an extremely high quality, so I'm positive that he's going to like it. And it'll be even more satisfying because my family isn't aware of my AI yet.
Just so they can feel part of it, I took the time to also buy a present for my two best friends. That is, a engagement present, since they got engaged about a month ago. I'll give them a property I bought in Sicily, Italy, when I went there last summer. That will probably be my best present, and they deserve it more than anyone else, for being with me since we met in MIT years ago.
Well, that's all. I don't expected getting anything but the presents Dean will give me, and the ones I always get from my grandparents. And there's nothing I need from the others, so that's alright.
Besides I was in a good mood when I bought all of this, because last Christmas I only gave presents to the kids, Dean, and my grandparents. Overall, me fixing the power generators and the solar panels are a present good enough for them.
Flower and Chase went behind me in their silver Range Rover, and I went in the front in my truck, while listening Centuries by Fall Out Boy in the max. And it only took us 2 hours and half to arrive in London, then I guided the way to the villa. When I arrived there, four security guards stopped me, so I went down the truck.
Dressed in black high-waist shorts, with a baggy shirt with the theme of House Targaryen from Game of Thrones, and a pair of high soldier boots that had three inches insoles to make me taller. My hair was lose and I had no make up on but some mascara that made my eyelashes even more beautiful, "Don't you recognize me anymore?"
They gasped and bowed lightly, "I'm sorry, Miss Van den Hoek, we didn't expect you to come in such a… peculiar vehicle." Spoke Liam Mark, the head of the security since I was a kid.
I rolled my eyes, "This is called a truck, if you are unaware. It's the only vehicle that was big enough for me to bring all the things I need to fix the damned power generators and the solar panels. Why? Is it too weird for you? I should have left it there and come empty handed of materials?"
He always used to mock me, too used to the way my family treated me. "N-n-no, Miss Van den Hoek. I'm… I'm sorry," them the dumbass turned around. "Open the gates! The young Miss is here!"
"And the car behind me is with me, so let them come inside as well!" I warned staring at him.
Gulping, the annoying old guard nodded. "Yes, Miss."
Rolling my eyes, I got back to my truck after making a signal to my best friends behind me. Then I got inside and went to the private garage closer to the lake house where we would be staying. After I parked the truck, I went inside and took my Mercedes out, than I headed with it to the main garage, and told the lovebirds to follow me there with their car.
When I parked my car, they were all there waiting for me, which kind of took me off guard. Even my grandparents were here already. Then I left the car, "Missed me?"
"What took you so long? I thought you would be coming in the morning," mother spoke coming to me and passing her hands in my hair. "You should wear shirts that mark more your body, not these baggy things, Elizabeth-Freya."
I rolled my eyes and kissed her forehead while on my toes, "Good to see you too, mother. And I came later because I was busy buying presents for all of you!" Dad came to me and kissed my forehead, then I hugged him softly. "I bought your favorite whiskey," I whispered in his ear and a wide smile appeared on his lips.
"Give me later," he whispered back. "So, what was that enormous truck you drove here? It was quite fancy. Did your grandparents buy to you?"
I scoffed and side-looked my siblings who were all staring at me, then turned back to him, "I'm not like my siblings, dad, come on. My work pays extremely well. Besides," I tilted my head to the side, "it was the only truck that could bring my car, plus all my equipment and the solar panels I brought."
A nod, "Then you did well. I would have told you about it," he pinched my nose, "but you hang-up on my face."
"She has this rude habit, dad," Dean exclaimed.
"Ha, she did it to me too!" Mom complained.
I winked to Dean, "I can't help it. Oh, and brother, I prepared something exclusive and special for you. But you will only know on Christmas Eve, when we'll open the presents." I turned to the kids, and they all came closer to me, hugging me together. "Auntie brought you a lot of presents, you will love it!"
Amelie smile widened, "Did you bring sweets, auntie?"
A nod, "Oh, yes. They got ready minutes before I went to the road. But don't worry, they are all fine, since I put them in the special food-conserving boxes I made," I winked.
