Chapter 20 - ۞ XIX ۞

"WE DON'T KNOW HER SO MUCH YET, SINCE WE ONLY MET HER when she came to us after her parents died, but we think it was 50/50," Kingsley tilted his head. "She does has lots of traits of Rufus, though none are physical."

Nicolae let out a surprised sound, "They don't look alike?"

"No. She's identical to her mom," Millie exclaimed. "It was the first thing we noticed on her. But if you talk to her for a bit, you will definitely see what she got from her father."

"Millie's right," Chiara's uncle stated. "Rebecca has my brother's silver tongue, straightforwardness, and wittiness. Though I believe she got her terrible temper from her mother."

Madalina chuckled, "Oh my, is she temperamental?"

"That's an understatement!" He scoffed.

"I don't know. To me Ruffy was always quite temperamental," Nicolae added. "How is she hanging? I mean, with Ruffy passing, her mother's, and her twins."

"Not so good," Millie let out a worried sigh. "And I think you should set the date for the dinner around October 10th, Madalina. Her mother's birthday is in October 5th. Thus it'll be the 1st, the 2nd, and the 5th of October full of birthdays she won't be able to celebrate. Let's give the kid a bit of time, she's strong, but I can tell she's struggling. She was close to her parents, and was also overprotective with her two youngest twins. She's going though a whole ton of shit now that she lost all of them at once."

"Poor child," Madalina felt her heartache. "Alright, we can postpone the dinner a bit. It's not like Damian is very welcoming of it either. He's being a pain in the ass, I'm just worried that he might be rude to Rebecca, just because he's still bitter because we never approved of him with Abigail. Especially when she's in such a fragile moment of her life."

The Armstrongs shared a gaze, since they were all worried for that too. They all knew how mean Damian can be, since every time they crossed paths, he was extremely rude and arrogant towards them. "Madalina," Millie licked her lips, "my niece is stubborn and isn't the type to accept rudeness lightly. She will not stay shut if her says something out of line to her. And she might get back to him, since I have a feeling that she's quite the bitter type who holds grudges."

Nicolae chuckled, "Jesus, it seems like they will clash a lot then. Seems like we are in for quite the show. How tall is she?"

"Shorter than all of us!" Kingsley chuckled. "Around 1.67m, if I'm not wrong. Her mother was also around that height. She told us that her sister was slightly taller than her, and her brother was taller than Rufus. That makes her the shorter in both our and your family."

"Jesus, she'll look small near Damian, I wouldn't be surprise if he told us he's already 2 meters tall. How does she look, Millie? Physically?" Madalina asked, already trying to imagine how her grandchildren would look like.

"Tanned skin, long curly light brown hair that goes down to her hips, siren light green eyes, long curvy eyelashes, pouty full lips, a small snub nose, high cheekbones, dark and full straight eyebrows, dimples in both cheeks that come in display even when she doesn't speak, clear spotless skin, small ears, sharp jaw, and the short height. She has only been using big hoodies and sweatpants, so we haven't got a look on her body now. But Khloe told me that she showed her a picture of her with her parents and siblings, and that she has an hourglass shape, wide and big breasts, a tiny waist, wider hip, a big ass like our side of the family, wide shoulders, sharp collarbones, and bow thick thighs."

Kingsley took a sip of his water, "Though that was when she was still healthy. She might be slimmer than normal, because she has been having difficulty eating, and she doesn't leave her room."

"You think she evolved depression?" Madalina asked worried, knowing how bad that is, because of what Damian went through.

"We are sure she has," Millie sighed. "And we have to be a degree more careful, because I'm sure she has a severe type of anxiety and it's not treated!" She took the glass of wine from Khloe's hands and drank it. "She doesn't open up to us, but I have a feeling she has more stuff going on than she let it meet the eye."

"We'll put her in contact with our psychologist. Don't worry, she's one of us. We'll take care of her!" Nicolae said confidently.

"Everyone has problems, it's okay. It's part of our life. We'll help her out," Madalina added. "And we'll get her healthy again, well feed and lively, don't worry. Now, Millie, can you and Khloe do me a favor and get her measurements for me? I'll give it to our stylist for him to make a dress for her to use on the dinner of our meeting. Since it'll be a big event for our families!"

Khloe nodded to her mother, "Of course. We'll try. Khloe is doing her best to get closer to her."

"Ah, one more thing. You think you can get the picture she showed to Khloe and send us? The one that she's with her parents and her twin siblings. We are all crazy to know at least a bit of her and of them, since Rufus kept us in the dark."

Now, that will be hard. "I can't promise, because she is very private and isn't giving us that many openings. But I'll tell Khloe to ask her. And regarding the dress you want to make for her, make it black. She's only using black, and as we believe it's one of the forms of her grieving, we are just leaving her to it."

"Okay. And is she still in highschool?" She asked, trying to get as many information as she could, since all the people they put to investigate the girl, Rufus, his wife, and the twins, all failed. Thus they got nothing on them.

"No. She graduated at 16!" Kingsley exclaimed proudly.

"Oh?" Nicolae sounded amused. "Where did she attend?"

Let's do as she told us to. "She attend highschool in Italy!" Millie exclaimed. "I believe she stayed with one of her mother's friends who lived there."

"So, she's fluent in Italian?" Madalina pushed.

Millie smiled, "Yes," and in eighteen other languages. "She says lots of stuff in Italian, you will see. She curses in it too."

"It's alright. Damian also speaks Italian, he's a genius you know," Madalina exclaimed proud of her prodigy son. "Only Marin, Nina, and Florentina don't speak Italian in the family. Everyone else does, so it'll be fine."

Better end here. We can't tell much about her to them, or she might get annoyed with us. Millie made a agreeing sound. "Yes. Now, we'll be hanging up, because we have some things to deal with before we go to sleep. Good night to you. We just called to tell you that she's already aware of it."

"Have a good night!" They said together, and she hand up.

Letting out a sigh, Khloe took Kevin's drink for herself, "I doubt she'll send me the picture, but I'll try. I think she isn't a fan of my brightness and enthusiasm because she wants to stay in the dark and swimming in the sadness of the grief. I'm trying to respect that, but I just wanted to see her well. It pains me to see her so haunted."

"I'm worried because she said she'll take revenge on the ones who killed uncle Rufus, aunt Caterina, and our two cousins. Not necessarily because of the revenge, since it's understandable. But I'm worried with how she's going to go that. I fear that it might hurt her even more!" Kevin passed his hands thorough his hair.

"But she won't back away from that. Let's just hope she'll be able to deal with the weight of the aftermath." Kingsley exclaimed.

Millie caressed her daughter's hair, "Kevin, why don't you bring Nairi here? She wanted to meet Chiara, didn't she? Maybe she might befriend her."

His sister agreed with her mom, "Nairi is lovely, I bet Chiara will like her too. And she's easy to talk to, too. That might help!"

"I'll talk to her," he exclaimed with a silly smile.
