Nancy let out a loud exclamation, her face showing bewilderment.
She was shocked, but I didn't lose my cool and replied calmly.

'Because it is the setting of the main storyline, and I need to be there to leverage my future knowledge, duh.'
Obviously, I did not tell this to Nancy.
For her, I already had a reasonable excuse prepared.
